The noose wand which can be wielded, is used in the Hunter skill to track kebbits and jadinkos. Once your prey has been found, equipping the noose wand allows the character to catch it. A noose wand can be stored on the tool belt.
This item can be bought for 4 coins from the Hunter shops in Yanille, Nardah, and Taverley, as well as from Papa Mambo at the Herblore Habitat.
Alternatively, players can use the level 71 spell Hunter Kit from the lunar spellbook to create a noose wand, along with other hunter items. You must have completed both the Lunar Diplomacy and Dream Mentor quests to use this spell.
When wielded, your player has all the original animations for a 2 handed sword before the massive graphical update, including the original run and stationary position, meaning the same jerky movements when standing and running. In addition, while wielding the noose wand, your player's standing animation will include the head drifting farther to the right than usual. Other items affected by this are the Rat pole, Mud pie and all Banners. This was fixed in a hidden update 20 December 2010.
