The oddly shaped stick is used to defeat the armoured cow thing (more commonly known as the bulwark beast) during the Fremennik saga Thok It To 'Em. It is found in the bulwark beast's room, stuck in a rock. It is actually a novite pickaxe, but Thok doesn't recognise it as such.

- Prior to the Evolution of Combat, the oddly shaped stick could be used to perform certain special attacks, namely those of the granite maul, dragon pickaxe, and dragon halberd. Thok could also do a special headbutt attack, like when wielding his sword. This special attack used 25% of the special attack bar.
