Penance gloves are weight-reducing equipment and a member's only type of armour. To wear penance gloves, the player must have at least 40 Defence. The gloves can be obtained by exchanging 150 Honour Points of each type from the Barbarian Assault minigame. They are notable because they have negative weight of 4.5kg when worn. The weight reducing effect stacks with other items such as Boots of lightness and Spotted cape/Spottier cape.
The Penance gloves are not kept under your gravestone if you happen to die, and you can't get them back for free if they are lost.
