Penguins are undercover KGP agents which don disguises, allowing them to blend in with the local scenery.
Chuck and Larry ask the player to locate disguised penguins within the Penguin Hide and Seek Distraction and Diversion, awarding Penguin Points when a player spies on a disguised penguin once each week. Penguin Points can be exchanged with either Chuck or Larry for experience in a skill of the players choice, or exchanged for a coins.

Shadow Realm[]
The Shadow Realm penguin teleports to one of 34 possible locations every few minutes. It can be spied after completing Some Like It Cold, and while wearing a ring of visibility, awarding 3 Penguin Points for doing so. While the Shadow Realm penguin can be seen before completing the quest, players are unable to obtain points from spying it.
Players that have spoken to Sliske in the Empyrean Citadel after completing The General's Shadow, Ritual of the Mahjarrat and Fate of the Gods no longer need the ring to spy on the Shadow Realm penguin.
The sixth 2-point penguin[]
A sixth 2-point penguin can be spied after the completion of Back to the Freezer, awarding 2 Penguin Points for doing so. Chuck does not provide hints to aid players in locating the sixth 2-point penguin location.
Trivia[]
- A gravestone can be found in the New Varrock graveyard named "Roaming penguin's gravestone". It reads: "Buried in its pumpkin suit. Thousands of people came to the funeral, mostly for the penguin points."
