Perks are a feature of the elite skill Invention. They are effects, buffs or debuffs that can be created by using materials with a gizmo shell. The resulting gizmo can be attached to an item that has been augmented with a tinker. Alternatively the player will be able to disassemble perks to obtain back some materials.

The first batch of Invention will include 50 perks, mainly relating combat and combat equipment. The addition of skilling related perks for augmenting tools is planned for release 1-2 months after the release of the first batch of Invention.[1]

Buffs

Perk Function
Absorbative 20% chance to reduce an attack by 5% per rank using 30 seconds of charges.
Biting +1% chance per rank to critically hit opponent.
Brassican Occassionally places a cabbage in the inventory[2]
Clear Headed Anticipate lasts one additional second per rank, but no longer reduces damage taken.
Crackling Periodically zaps your targets for 3% per rank of your weapon damage.
Demon Slayer[3] Deal +2% damage to demons.
Dragon Slayer[3] Deal +2% damage to dragons.
Energising Slice, Piercing Shot, Punish, and Wrack deal no damage, but generate 0.6 additional adrenaline per rank.
Enlightened 1% XP gained per rank.
Equilibrium [3] Increases minimum hit by 3% per rank, and decreases maximum hit also by 3% per rank. This effect does not stack with the Equilibrium aura.
Genocidal Deal up to 5% extra damage depending on how far you are through your Slayer task
Glow Worm Provides light equivalent to a bullseye lantern.
Hoarding Protect Item protects two items instead of one. (Does not work in PVP).
Impatient Increased adrenaline gain with basic abilities.
Invigorating Increased adrenaline gain with auto attacks.
Looting Most enemies have a 25% chance to drop an addition high-level resource. (10 minute cooldown.)
Mobile Reduces cooldown of Surge, Escape, and Barge by 50%, but adds a 20% adrenaline cost.
Precise[3] Your minimum damage is capped to x% per rank of your maximum damage.
Reflexes
Scavenging[3] 0.5% chance per rank on kill to get a quantity of a rare Invention component.
Shield Bashing Debilitate's damage is increased by 15%, and its cost is increased by 2 adrenaline, per rank.
Spendthrift
Taunting Provoke affects enemies in a 3x3 square around its target.
Trophy-taker's[3] 3% per rank chance a slain creature will add zero kills to its Slayer contract; 2% per rank chance it will add 2 kills.
Ultimatums Reduces the adrenaline cost of Overpower, Frenzy, Unload, and Omnipower by 5% per rank, but increases their cooldown by 50%. Does not stack with other ultimate adrenaline saving effects.
Undead Slayer[3] Deal +2% damage to undead monsters.
Venomblood Poison received heals life points instead of causing damage.
Wise[3] While equipped, +1% per rank additional experience, up to 50,000 XP per day.

Debuffs

Antitheism Denies access to protect prayers/deflect curses.
Blunted Your weapon's damage is reduced by 1% per rank.
Cautious Cannot auto-retaliate while this item is equipped.
Committed Always skulled while this item is equipped.
Demon Bait Damage to demons is reduced by 30%.
Dragon Bait Deal 30% less damage to dragons.
Fatiguing[3] Gain 2% less adrenaline from all attacks.
Inaccurate Your weapon's accuracy is reduced by 1% per rank.
Junk Food[3] Food gives 3% less health per rank.
Mediocrity Reduces maximum hit by 3% per rank.
Mysterious Has a mysterious effect... (Randomizes exp drops at random to differ from actual exp gained.)
Profane
Undead Bait Damage to undead is reduced by 30%.
