Pious Pete

Pious Pete is a Saradominist monk who was featured in the Candlelight random event. Both Pious Pete and his event were removed from RuneScape long prior to the 24 October 2012 update which removed all random events. This was not addressed in an update post, but was instead removed quietly, without any mention.

Candlelight Random Event[]

Main article: Candlelight

While training Prayer, there was a chance that the player would be teleported to the Candlelight church where Pious Pete was. Pete would inform the player that his candles kept extinguishing after a few moments, give the player a lighter then ask them to only light certain candles, ones that were still standing. Once the event was complete, talking to Pete again would return the player to their previous location with a small reward.

Trivia[]

When teleporting a player away to the random event, Pious Pete would say "I'm sorry to drag you away from your tasks, but I need a little help with something."
Pious Pete was credited as getting together for a Wintumber party, along with his brothers Postie Pete and Party Pete.^[1]
