The player-owned ports enhancer is a rewards enhancer that can be received from the Motherlode Maw's daily random reward if the player has at least level 115 Dungeoneering, and level 95 in all other non-elite skills. There is a chance of obtaining it by trading Wythien ten crystal motherlode shards. It can also be obtained by talking to Wythien to convert an unfocused reward enhancer to a Player-owned ports enhancer. By converting an unfocused reward enhancer it will only have half of the charges, giving it 3 charges instead of 5.
When the player is in the player-owned ports area, they can activate an active enhancer (a right-click function) to get a reward from a port random event, including adventurer, captain, crew and voyage rerolls, as well as stat-boosting items. A charge is used up each time it is activated. If the reward obtained is at its maximum amount already, the enhancer will use a charge but give nothing, generating the message "The reward you would have gained was maxed out. Use the random event rewards from Player-Owned Ports to ensure you gain a reward.".
Wythien's exchange enhancers interface mistakenly states that the player-owned ports enhancer will have 2 charges.
