A Potter's wheel is used to mould soft clay, obtainable by mixing water and clay, into other objects. With the relevant Crafting level the player makes unfired versions of clay items, gaining Crafting experience. The player sits down, operates the pedals with their feet and uses their hands to shape the malleable clay. The unfired items produced in this way can then be further refined by placement in a Potter's oven. Non-Members can make unfired Bowls, Pie dishes, Pots, and low level Urns while Members can create Pot lids and Plant pots and high level Urns. The following table shows potter's wheel locations, which are labelled with a potter's wheel Potter's wheel map icon icon on the player's Map.

Potter's wheel location Non-Members Map
Gunnarsgrunn Located a short distance from Varrock and Edgeville. Everything you need is in the village, due to the Feb 15 update, with a clay mine south of the village, and a well outside Peksa's Helmet Shop. File:Potter's wheel - Barbarian Village.png
Crafting Guild A very good location if you're in a Clan as you can wield a Clan vexillum to teleport to the Clan Camp and use the Bank chest there, the Guild is just a little walk west from the Bank chest.

NOTE: The Crafting Guild requires Level 40 Crafting and no longer requires a Brown apron to enter.

Draynor Village Located just north of Draynor Village, this is close to a bank. After Feb 15, 2011 update, a clay mine was added to the north-east and a water pump was added to the south. File:Potter's wheel - Draynor Village.png
Varrock Located just south of Varrock's South-Eastern bank, this is the closest potter's wheel to a bank in the Free world. Members additionally have a nearby water source available. There is also a pottery oven located inside the same building, one click away. This makes urn crafting especially easy as you can make 14 urns with a full inventory of soft clay, and then immediately fire them before banking them. File:Potter's wheel - Varrock.png
Burthorpe Fairly close to a bank, there are clay mines and water sources scattered very nearby.
Members Only Map
East Ardougne This wheel is located near a water source and bank, though quite far from clay rocks. An agility level of 33 is required to use the log shortcut to the northern bank. A bank is located just over the agility shortcut. File:Potter's wheel - East Ardougne.png
Rellekka Usable after completing the quest The Fremennik Trials. A bank is a long walk away, but the wheel is located near clay mines and a water source. File:Potter's wheel - Rellekka.png
Exam Centre Very distant to banks and clay mines, though has a northern water source. File:Potter's wheel - Exam Centre.png
Sophanem Rarely-used due to isolated location; players must also have started Icthlarin's Little Helper. Several nearby water sources are available, although to use Sophanem's bank players must have completed the Contact! quest. File:Potter's wheel - Sophanem.png
Darkmeyer Players need to gain access to upper tier of the city by gaining Darkmeyer status points during The Branches of Darkmeyer quest in order to use the bank chest. It can be a convenient location due to the fact that the wheel is not only located relatively close to a bank chest, but a water source as well. Players using this wheel are strongly recommended to either wear the full Darkmeyer disguise or keep Protect/Deflect Melee on at all times. It is also handy to wield a bow with no ammunition in order to avoid accidently attacking a Vyrewatch that happens to walk by the wheel. Note: Despite the icons being outside the building, the wheel is inside the building File:DarkmeyerWheel1.png
