The puffer is an quest item used in the quest Hunt for Red Raktuber. It is used to pump air to increase the pressure in the engine box. Wearing the puffer may also be a requirement to use the conch shell to signal the penguin submarine to surface.
The Puffer can be worn on the head after completing the quest. It is only used for appearance and as a sign that the player has completed the quest as it has no bonuses. It is acquired at the same time as the three other headgears (ray, octopus and monkfish) from the quest.
