Pulverise is an ultimate Strength ability, and when activated, the player deals 250% to 350% weapon damage to their target and reduces all damage the target deals by 25% for 30 seconds, also granting 50% adrenaline if it kills an NPC target.
It is actually impossible to gain both damage reduction and adrenaline at the same time because an enemy can only be either killed or survive from an attack.
It is most useful against strong boss monsters or other players, as it will reduce the high amount of damage they deal, although when killing weaker monsters en masse you can take advantage of the adrenaline compensation effect.
Trivia[]
- Prior to 22 October 2013, Pulverise only dealt 219% weapon damage and reduced incoming damage by 25% for 20 seconds.
- If you kill an NPC target with Pulverise while wearing the ring of vigour with a critical hit while Meteor Strike/Tsunami/Incendiary Shot's adrenaline buff and Supreme invigorate aura is active, you will be left with 80% adrenaline. By using an adrenaline potion (or just a Super Guthix rest and any basic ability, since Pulverise's long animation will allow you to perform one of those during it), you can use another ultimate ability almost instantly.
- If used to kill an NPC while Natural Instinct is active Pulverise will grant 100% adrenaline allowing the immediate use of another ultimate.
- Pulverise may cause the screen to shake, a feature it shares with Quake and Meteor Strike.
