Revision as of 05:44, 1 March 2011
A Quest point cape with the hood can be purchased for 99,000 coins from Wise Old Man in Draynor Village by players who have achieved the current maximum number of quest points. Currently, the maximum is 313 Quest Points. It is the only Cape of Accomplishment not associated directly with a skill. Quest point capes are light cyan in colour, and are currently untrimmable. This means that the Quest point cape will NOT act as a second cape in the cape-trimming equation.
When new quests are released, raising the quest point maximum, the cape will become unequipped and owners of the cape will have to complete the new quests before being allowed to wear it or even place it on their cape rack again. When unequipped (after a new quest) the cape and hood will go into the player's inventory if there is enough room, or into the player's bank. If there is neither room in the player's inventory nor the player's bank, the cape will find its way to the Wise Old Man, who can give it back to the player free of charge.
Prior to an update on 10 August 2009, The Rag and Bone Man wishlist miniquest must also have been completed in order for a player to achieve this cape. As of now, only the quest itself need be completed in order to obtain the quest cape.
Earning the right to wear the Quest Point Cape at present takes 17,966,095 experience, (or less if you use items to boost certain skill levels for quests, with a minimum of 17,082,635) plus additional experience for a minimum of level 85 Combat, which is more total experience than a 99 skillcape.
Jagex has recently added sound to the emote and some music that plays while the emote is being performed. Exactly when the music tune starts depends on the amount of players, lag and various other factors in the area.

b indicates that a temporary boost may be used to reach that level.
w indicates a level that is gained from quest experience rewards, not an actual requirement
- 65 Defence is required for King's Ransom and the Knight waves training grounds, the completion of these are a requirement for Nomad's Requiem. The experience rewarded from the two is enough to get a player from level 65 to level 66.
- There is no Constitution requirement, currently, for the Quest Point cape. 47 Constitution is gained with quest experience rewards alone, and therefore it is not avoidable.
- With all the minimum[1] combat discipline requirements and level 76 Constitution, the actual minimum combat level possible to wear a Quest point cape is 100, a recommendation (not requirement) for the quest The Void Stares Back. In addition, doing Nomad's Requiem is difficult without at least 76 Constitution, although it may be boosted.
- You have to complete every Easy , Medium and Hard Fremennik Tasks for Blood Runs Deep.
- 85 Combat is the minimum requirement for the quest Dream Mentor, but obtaining 94 Combat is unavoidable due to Quest experience rewards.

Trivia
- The total amount of experience needed to complete all quests (assuming no boosts are used) is 17,966,095. If Spicy Stew is used for the maximum boost possible in certain skills, the cape requires 17,082,635 experience.
- While it is possible to have any other Cape of Accomplishment at a relatively low combat level (as low as level 3 for non-combat skillcapes), having at least 94 combat is unavoidable, giving the Quest Cape the highest minimum combat level requirement for any cape. This may rise as Jagex makes more quests with increasingly higher combat requirements.
- It is the only Cape of Accomplishment in the game that does not require a level of at least 99 in any particular skill.
- During a cutscene in the Love Story quest, the Wise Old Man performs the quest cape emote. Strangely though, the back of the cape doesn't look like the normal quest cape. Instead, the back is covered with a plain blue colour.
- On 25 May 2010, the emote was changed to include particle effects and a slightly different animation.
- If Love Story is complete, Zenevivia complains about how you are still questing when you ask the Quest point cape from the Wise Old Man.
- It is possible to wear the Quest point cape without completing all the quests, provided that you had already finished Romeo and Juliet before its removal, and only have Gunnar's Ground left.
- The minimum level requirements for Fletching and Woodcutting will soon raise (probably along with a few other skills), because of the upcoming Mahjarrat series quest. The Woodcutting requirement will go up to 78, and the Fletching reqirement will jump up 13 levels to 83. File:Modash.png
- Sometimes while sitting with this cape the lower half of it under the quest symbol will appear transparent.
- The cape's emote is the only Cape of Accomplishment emote to include its own music.
