Raffle ticket detail

A raffle ticket is a voucher that players can use to enter a daily raffle called Balthazar's Big Raffle during September 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Rewards for winning the raffle depend on the day of the week, and a set number of those rewards are distributed each day. Raffle tickets do not need to be used the day they are received. There was originally no limit to the number of raffle tickets that could be entered into a daily raffle; however, there was a limit of 15 raffle tickets per daily raffle for the 2019 raffle.

Players can obtain two per day (2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019), using the following methods:

  1. Talk to Balthazar near the Burthorpe lodestone.
  2. Turn in a completed daily challenge to Challenge Mistress Fara in Burthorpe, or open the Challenge Mystery Bag if one was awarded,
    1. Or get one from Gilly Willikers (2015, 2017, and 2019).

Tickets from 2014-2017 cannot be used in raffles other than their intended one. The tickets first available in 2018, however, can be used in any future raffle.[1]

2018 onwards[]

The raffle tickets from 2018 onwards can be read for the message "This raffle ticket can be entered into the RuneScape raffle for a chance to win prizes."

They can also be right-clicked to teleport to Burthorpe, and to store them in the currency pouch.

2015[]

During the 2015 raffle, a rummage ticket is received for every 5 raffle tickets handed in.

2014[]

Players could obtain a maximum of four tickets per day, using the following methods:

  1. Talk to Balthazar near the Burthorpe lodestone.
  2. Turn in a completed daily challenge to Challenge Mistress Fara in Burthorpe or attend a Jmod meet-up event in the Lumbridge Crater at a set time.
  3. During the Treasure Hunter promotion in 2014, 20 unused challenge tokens could be turned in to Captain Haskell in exchange for 1 ticket every 10 tokens every day. (Up to twice per day.) When a player talks about raffle tickets with him, he says "I did have some raffle tickets to spare, but I've given them all away now. I'm going to use the rest of mine in the raffle. I think a golden godsword would suit me. You should be able to get some from Balthazar, every day though."

Trivia[]

  • While receiving a ticket from a Jagex Moderator would give no message, attempting to get another would display the following: Mod <name> tried to give you a raffle ticket, but you've already had your free ticket from a JMod today!
  • When receiving a raffle ticket from completing a daily challenge, the following message is shown: You receive your additional daily raffle ticket.
  • If you hand in a daily challenge with a full inventory, you'll get the message: "You don't have enough inventory space for your additional daily raffle ticket, so it has been placed on the floor." Unless a raffle ticket is located in the currency pouch, then it will go there instead without a warning.
  • If tickets from the previous years' raffles are given to Balthazar, he will say: "What's that there? They look like fakes! Give me those!" and confiscate them.
