A Ranging cape can be purchased for 99,000 coins from the Armour Salesman at the Ranging Guild by players who have achieved level 99 Ranged. It is the Cape of Accomplishment for the Ranged skill. Ranging capes are green in colour, and have an orange trim if the player has more than one level 99 skill.

Trivia

File:99 Ranged.png

A player getting 99 Ranged.

  • It is possible to obtain this cape at combat level 50. You can do this by using a dwarf multicannon which gives you Ranged experience but no Constitution experience. Also, you can train this skill by using XP rewards like Zeal points from Soul Wars, Penguin points, and lamps to gain Ranged xp.
  • The Ranging cape icon is too large for the cape and is partly cut off by the trim.
  • The cape is called Ranging cape, but the skill itself is called Ranged.
  • On the 27th of May 2010, male characters had their capes shortened. The Ranged skill symbol on the skillcape was made smaller along with the cape.
  • Dalldav, the archers' shop owner in Lletya, appears to be wearing the Ranging Cape hood.
  • The examine text for the cape is "The cape worn by master archers.", even though there are alternatives to using ranged such as javelins, thrownaxes, throwing knives, etc.
  • In the emote, the player appears to be using a regular longbow.
  • Even though this is a "ranging" cape, it doesn't give any range attack bonus but defence only.
