The ranger hat is a piece of ranged PvP armour which requires 40 Defence and 50 Ranged to wear. The hat can only be obtained by exchanging 275 Honour Points in each role (and one Penance Queen kill) from the Barbarian Assault minigame. It is designed to resemble a Penance Ranger.
The hat is part of the penance set, which restores prayer over time (30 points per minute) when the full set (fighter torso, penance skirt, runner boots, penance gloves, and any penance hat) is worn.
The ranger hat can be upgraded to a hardened ranger hat using a barbarian assault armour patch.
