A reed seed is a Farming seed from which reeds can be grown in a hops patch. It can be protected by paying a farmer 15 Asgarnian hops. Like with all hops (except jute), four seeds are needed to plant one patch. Fully-grown reeds produce toads, swamp tar and swamp lizards when harvested. Roughly 3-5 toad egg sacs, 20-40 swamp tar and (possible but rare) 1-2 swamp lizards are gained per production. Harvesting yields 190 farming experience.
The seeds may be obtained through pickpocketing Gnomes, Elves or Dwarf traders, and by hunting jadinkos.
