In full combat scenarios, it is effective if used along with items like a [[Saradomin Godsword]], which provide periodic healing. By supplementing that periodic burst of healing from the sword's special attack with slow but steady healing from the bracelet, the player can keep up with the rate of damage done to him/her and not need food. Onyx bracelet detail

The Regen bracelet or bracelet of regeneration is an onyx bracelet enchanted by the level 87 spell Enchant Level 6 Jewellery, as well as being a drop from the level 785 Corporeal beast. It is also dropped from the level 126 Revenant knight, however that is extremely rare.

When worn, it doubles the natural rate at which life points heal, so 20 life points are recharged every minute as opposed to ten every minute. This effect stacks with the Rapid Heal and Rapid renewal prayer and rest. In conjunction, this provides potential regeneration of 20 life points per 30 seconds, which is an average of 10 life points per 15 seconds. Its stats are comparable to those of Adamant gloves rewarded for completion of 7 subquests in Recipe for Disaster.

The Regen bracelet has a much lower price than its other onyx jewellery counterparts. The reasoning for this is that the bracelet is a potential drop from the Corporeal beast, while other onyx jewellery can only be obtained from Onyx gems, which can only be obtained with Tokkul and as a very rare drop from looting Kingly Impling jars. This makes the Regen bracelet have a higher supply rate than other onyx accessories.

The bracelet has several potential uses, some of which are listed below:

The regen bracelet is useful for healing in Fight Caves, allowing more prayer or super restore potions to be carried instead of food or saradomin brews.

It is well known for training the Agility skill, as players can heal damage caused by failing a certain obstacle. Since there's usually a decent interval between damage episodes, it can greatly lessen the food needed.

The same logic can be applied to a number of "occasional damage" activities. Using it in the Creature Graveyard in the Mage Training Arena allows you to make longer trips at the place, and you will eat less of the bananas/peaches you create. Ourania runecrafters find this bracelet handy while running through Zamorakian NPCs, and miners will find it useful while mining in the Living Rock Caverns.

In full combat scenarios, it is effective if used along with items like a Saradomin Godsword, which provide periodic healing. By supplementing that periodic burst of healing from the sword's special attack with slow but steady healing from the bracelet, the player can keep up with the rate of damage done to him/her and not need food. The effectiveness of the Regen Bracelet is doubled if coupled with options like a Bunyip or Fruit Bat familiar.

The Regen Bracelet is commonly used in the Fight Caves because you can trap the enemies and just sit and rest your hitpoints up.

It has the best combat stats of an item worn in the glove slot other than the metal gloves which are available after Recipe for Disaster, which makes it useful for pures who are unable to complete the quest.

Trivia

  • On 9 July 2010; Jagex did a hidden update on how the Regen Bracelet restores Constitution. It used to heal twice as fast, 1 point at a time, now instead it heals 2 at a time, but still gives the same restoring health in a set amount of time.
  • Upon introduction, this item had no combat stats. Its improvement on 29 September 2008 added them.
  • Previously, this item doubled the restore rate of all other stats, even positive effects. This has been fixed and it now only increases the restore rate of life points.
  • The regen bracelet used to slow down the rate of which boosted life points statuses were returning to normal; this was later removed in an update.
  • It is listed as "Bracelet of regeneration" on the knowledge base, rather than Regen Bracelet.
  • When the Constitution update was released on 3 March 2010, the price rocketed from 600k to a little over 1m due to multiple clans merching this item. The bracelet has since fallen back under 500k.
  • When equipped the bracelet seems to change the lighting direction of your armour, making the armour darker.
  • A glitch with the braclet shows that if you put it on then take it off, your hands would be black. This glitch has been fixed.
