The ring of kinship can be customised to specific roles which assist a player by giving certain bonuses when exploring dungeons. There are twelve roles, divided into four categories: Melee, Ranged, Mage and Skiller. The player can only use one role at a time, with each role having the ability to be upgraded up to tier 10, similar to items in the Dungeoneering skill. Every time the ring is upgraded, it requires a specific amount of Dungeoneering tokens, shown below. This is a members only function; free players receive the "You must be on a member's server to use this function" message in their chat box if they choose the "Customise" option. Also, even though a role might be selected and "in-use," it must be worn to receive that bonus. Furthermore, each player has the option to reset their classes. This will reset all roles and refund all tokens. The first reset is free, and the Rewards Trader sells additional resets for 50k tokens.

Players can use a secondary ring class if they have completed at least the Easy task set of the Daemonheim tasks via the Ring of Kinship interfaces. The secondary ring's strength is determined by how many task sets you have completed:

  • Easy tasks - 25% of original strength
  • Medium - 50%
  • Hard - 75%
  • Elite - 100% (original strength)

For example with a tier 10 secondary Blitzer ring and up to the Medium tasks complete, the ring's effect gets reduced to a 25% accuracy boost (half of the original amount).

This allows players to combine rings to make fighting more efficient.

For example, a ranger may want to use the Sniper ring for its accuracy boost (assuming they are using a bow) with the Keen-eye ring to reduce their target's defence. A mage may want to use the Blitzer ring for its accuracy boost with a Blazer ring to deal additional damage to targets.

This table shows both incremental (one tier to the next) and cumulative (or total) number of tokens required for each tier.

To get all classes of the ring to the maximum level would require 3,878,850 tokens, equating to level 110, assuming the player has bought nothing from the trader.

Keen-eye[]

Bonus chance of removing 1 from your opponents' defence. It will not reduce defence for attacks that miss. (This is stackable)

Chance of applying the combust effect to your target. When this ring takes effect, your target will suffer a 100 damage Combust.

Upgrading your Blazer ring's tier doesn't affect the amount of damage the Combust effect deals; it is a fixed amount. Upgrading the ring only increases the chance of the ring taking effect,

If successful, saves 50% of the resources needed to make the item, rounded down. Rarely works on items that take 1 bar/hide/cloth to make.
