Trivia

  • In a span of 30 days, rock climbing boots saw an increase of 35,277.3%. The boots rose from around 200 coins to 1400 coins before 24 June's update set the price at 75,000 coins (a 5,000% increase), making it one of the most inflated items in the history of RuneScape. The most inflated item ever was the 5 kg piece of Granite, which increased in price 176,333% in one day due to the update which allowed it to be cut into individual pieces of 500g Granite.
  • On 24 June 2010, Climbing boots were changed to Rock climbing boots and the price was increased from 12 coins to 75k coins. This caused a riot on world 66 in Falador.
