The Royal d'hide chaps are made by crafting two royal dragon leathers. Wearing them requires 80 Ranged. They require 89 Crafting to make, and give 188 experience. It's stats are better than black d'hide chaps but worse than armadyl chainskirt (except for absorption and melee penalties.)
It's useful as an upgrade from black dhide for players who can't afford Armadyl, and meleers who want good magic defense and absorption while not degrading like Ganodermic armour or Karils, or giving negative accuracy bonuses like Armadyl.

Trivia
- There is a glitch when wearing Royal d'hide chaps in the Minimal graphics mode that causes the arm to make a strange twisted motion when doing animations that require the arm (i.e., chopping trees).
