Ruined chompy is the result of accidentally burning a raw chompy while attempting to make a cooked chompy. Cooking a chompy requires 30 Cooking, and burning it will become less common with a higher Cooking level. Cooking chompy on a fire alone is not possible -- it needs to either be used on one of the ogre spits, or used with an iron spit and then cooked on a fire. There is also an item called burned chompy that can be found in QuickChat, but it is unclear how to obtain it.

The ruined chompy has no use whatsoever. Like most other burnt food, it is tradeable to other players but not on the Grand Exchange.

A hidden update on 4 March 2013 made all ruined chompies stackable.
