RuneMetrics is an upcoming in-game and website based analytics tool that is planned for release in the second half of February 2016.[1] It is intended that RuneMetrics will replace the existing Adventurer's Log shortly after it is released.[2] All players will be able to access a new advanced experience tracker and drop log, as well as basic website functions, in addition to the current XP tracker.[3]

There will also be the option to subscribe to RuneMetrics Pro to gain full access to the tool's features. The subscription service will have the ability to make calculations about a player's gameplay, as well as simply counting their experience and drop gains. RuneMetrics Pro will be purchasable for £3.59 or 1 bond per month. Players who have bought the 2016 gold membership package will have access to RuneMetrics Pro for two weeks and will be able to buy access for £1.79 or 1 bond per 2 months. This discount offer will be available for gold premier club members for the entirety of 2016.[4] Free-to-play players will be able to purchase RuneMetrics Pro.[5]

Features

Free

  • Autopopulate the Metrics interface's skill experience tracker, which will separately track experience gained in all 26 skills.[6]
  • Drop logger which can be toggled to show all items dropped or items that are picked up by the player. It will count drops that are processed by drop cleaners e.g. a charming imp.[7]

Pro

In addition to free features:

  • Skill experience tracker will display XP/hour based on previous 5 minute window of experience gained.[8]
  • Skill experience tracker will display ETA for time to level. This will work for player set targets, including virtual level targets, or default to the next level if a target is not set.[9]
  • Combat experience tracker showing total damage, damage per minute, accuracy and XP/hour. This will not reset when changing monsters.[10]
  • Wealth tracking and GP gain/loss per hour calculation based on previous 5 minute window. This will include wealth gained/lost from completing clue scrolls and from Grand Exchange transactions, but it will not be able to view information about these sources individually.[11]
  • "Send to graph" option on right-click in Metrics tracker. This will display a graph of experience gains over time; players will be able to adjust the time interval the graph uses by scrolling in and out.[12]
  • Links to view historical data on website. This data will not be public.[13]

Using

The "Metrics" interface will be accessible from the ribbon for player using the Evolution of Combat interface mode; it will replace the current Grouping System icon. Through this interface players will be able to toggle several options including:

  • Showing precise experience values.
  • Showing a health warning which shows a red tint around the player's screen when their character has less than 20% health remaining.
  • Choosing data interval for experience tracking - options will include since reset (last log out) and this session (resetting if the player has been logged out for 2 hours or more).
  • Maximum number of skills to displayed per row in the experience tracker interface.

It will also display the subscription time remaining for players who have purchased RuneMetrics Pro.[14]
