What this page is for

• Protecting/unprotecting pages.
  Highly visible pages or content that may have links from outside websites are encouraged to have some level of protection. This can also include a request for administrators to try and calm down an edit war. This should be done according to the RuneScape:Protection policy.
• Moving/renaming protected pages and files.
  Due to vandals' mis-use of the page move tool, some pages are protected from being renamed except by an administrator. If you can make a compelling case for a page move, or consensus has been reached on the respective discussion page related to the page you think needs to be renamed, formal requests for the page move can happen here. New contributors to this wiki or "anonymous" users wishing to rename a page that don't have the page move option available to them yet are also welcome to make such requests on this page.
• Minor edits to protected pages.
  This is mostly on protected templates that can have a substantial impact on the whole wiki if they are changed, so caution is urged when they are modified.
• Announcements that are intended to be across the whole wiki.
  This appears on MediaWiki:Sitenotice, and should be something that would be of interest to the whole community.
• Importing pages from another wiki.
  While seldom used for content on this wiki, this is an option that is available for bringing in content from another wiki and preserving its edit history, which requires administrator rights. This may involve some special actions on the part of Wikia Central to open this option between two MediaWiki projects, so be patient if you wish to make this sort of request. MediaWiki importing tools can sometimes be buggy, so be gentle on volunteer administrators doing this task.
• Hiding revisions and/or edit summaries.
  In the case of blatant copyright violations, significantly offensive material, identity establishing information, or any other content that poses a major risk to the wiki or its editors, the revision(s) may be hidden using Special:RevisionDelete.
• General questions to the administrators of this wiki.
  You might get a faster reply by posting on the User help page; however, the administrators here will try to help you to the best of their abilities.

IPv6

If you haven't read it yet, I'd like to point out w:c:community:User blog:Rappy 4187/Technical Update: June 28, 2017. I don't see any IPv6 addresses in Recent Changes as of this writing, but I'm sure it will happen eventually. Despite Wikia saying they work "just like" IPv4 addresses, blocking them kind of does not work like IPv4 addresses. Every IPv6 block is going to have to be a range block, because the idea behind IPv6 is that every household will be a range of addresses, so that everything in your house can have its own, unique IP address (your computer, your spouse's computer, your children's computers, the TV, the thermostat, the microwave, the dog's flea collar, etc.). --User:Saftzie/Signature 21:41, June 28, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah it's a pretty frustrating thing to have to deal with. We have actually had a few IPv6 addresses editing over the last 24 hours, such as this account and this one too (the latter of which was likely a charm vandal). V and References

The reference V makes to a minstrel and his ninja sidekick causing people to fall in love, then throwing a concert, is probably a reference to a semi-famous band called Ninja Sex Party. The word sex is preventing me from adding this to his page. Requesting bot help with interwiki links

I'd like to request bot help to add a series of interwiki links from this wiki to the Portuguese one, since i think it would be faster to do it like that. A list of the first batch of pages that require this can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a0IZ_tBNzjCjP434eiuZFAOD6bGlwcLx5MBWgP7jiJA/edit?usp=sharing I'd need another batch of about the same size in the future, but before i add the rest of the pages to this list i need to improve them over at our place. Also, we only need edits here, since all pages on the PT-BR wiki already have interwiki links. Thanks!

That's only 57 edits to be made as it stands. If the list is likely to increase exponentially then I'd suggest botting it, but for those, I'm not sure it's really worth it unless AWB has a function for it. User:Cqm/Signature

Changing Twitter Widget to New Markup

Can someone change Template:RuneScape Wiki/Twitter to the following code?

<twitter screen-name="RSWiki" height="500" theme="light" />

It functions the same but uses the new markup. I'm planning to do the same thing on the OSRS wiki.

I've switched widget-id to screen-name. I have not changed the other parameters – I customized the widget to match the wiki, and removing them would make the widget default to Twitter's light theme. --Iiii I I I 17:33, September 28, 2017 (UTC)

The Lost Grove creatures page should be Lost Grove creature to follow the same naming convention as Corrupted creature and Soul devourer.

Moving Black wizard hat and files related to Black wizard robes

I'd like to formally request that the Wizard hat (black) article be moved to Black wizard hat (a pre-existing redirect page prevents this) and that image files for Black wizard hat, robe top and robe skirt be moved to match the article names. Jampolo 00:26, October 10, 2017 (UTC)
