Amounts of X.P. between various levels

I think that there should be a table showing the amount of x.p. between levels. Although I can see the amount between my current level and the next level, I am often curious how much x.p. is between higher levels (say between 99 and 100 for example). 97.118.140.198 22:53, April 3, 2011 (UTC)Deathrune46497.118.140.198 22:53, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

Silverhawk Boots XP Calculator

I hope for a calculator that would make the world, or at least runescape, much much better. This calculator would tell u how much xp you would earn at your level per Silverhawk Feather. So you would have to imput your current level and your desired level. For example: Current level_56_ Desired level_70_ and then it would take in the your level and see how much xp you earn now and how much you would earn and have something like: "You will need __###__ xp to reach your desired level, which translates to _#_of_feathers_. thus this was my idea, but i am sure alot of people have thought of it or were thinking of it.

Crafting Calculator

Idea: A crafting calculator to do with xp/profit from making urns.

A crafting calculator where it tells you how many urns till your next crafting level depending on which ones you make e.g. cracked urn.

Well i can do the first bit xp profit profit/xp etc and il give the second bit a go but i doubt i can do that
Hoppingmad9 14:24, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
We all ready have a calculator for the first bit here, and i will try to make the second part.
Hoppingmad9 14:31, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry dynamic calculators are well beond me :( I will get there eventually but someone else will have to do this for now. Hoppingmad9 17:48, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Prayer Calculator

a prayer calculator. enter prayer points, prayer bonus, and prayers used, and it shows you how long your points last.

We already have that: Calculators/Prayer drain. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 22:54, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Set price calc

where everybody could see a price of a full set and each set item..

like.. How much does full rune (lg) set cost and how much does rune full helm, platebody, plate legs and kiteshield cost.. and from what sets we can make some profit... :) this should be nice...

Already have it. Hunter cape (t) Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask 10:31, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Treasure Trail

I know there is already a treasure trail co-ordinator type calculator... however I would like to point out it seems corrupt and says no co-ordinates for any location that is actually valid (at least for every co-ordinate i've tried) I know it used to work and I loved the system, been too lazy to clue recently but now im starting again would be nice to have this useful tool actually functional Amun erebos 11:48, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Thought I'd include the calculator's link Treasure_Trails_guide/Locate Amun erebos 11:50, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
There was a slight problem causing it not to work. This should now be fixed. Henneyj 21:58, April 14, 2011 (UTC)

Zeal Xp

I strongly suggest a calculator showing experience gained per zeal (soul wars) at different levels!

that'd be a great help!

See Soul_Wars/Rewards#Calculators --Henneyj 02:26, September 13, 2011 (UTC)

Summoning Pouches Reorganization

I think the summmoning pouches calculator would be vastly improved if it were reorganized. As it is now it is divided into high level (50-99) and low level (1-49) familiars. This makes it pretty difficult to decide which would be the most profitable to make, especially if you are only a few levels into the high difficulty (51-60), because you have to keep flipping between the two tables. It would be much more user friendly to have the data sorted into 4 tables, one for each color of charm. Then for each color of charm you have, you could sort by level, then easily look through to see which ones are most profitable, or sort by profit and look through to see which ones are within your level (just as with all the other gp/exp calculators).

Jennybeen 15:51, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Done. I don't think this applies to the scroll or shard swap calculators, as they depend on buying pouches, so the charm type is largely irrelevant. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 23:35, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Awesome!! Thank you very much. This is just what I had in mind. And you are right; the other calculators don't need to be changed.
Jennybeen 05:54, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Busy

Pest control points

It would be nice to know how much pest control points we need to a lvl or how much lets say 73 of them would give _MasterChiker

I have a working version here, but since I made it I now understand more about coding on the wiki so I will re-write it to be more accurate and otherwise make it more polished. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 02:57, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Ideas

Vis Wax Profit/Loss

A calculator that allows you to set the primary rune, select the 3 current secondary runes then show the projected profit loss of 100 vis wax at current GE prices for combinations of runes.

Alternatively, just select 3 runes and it will show a projected profit/loss for 50/75/100 vis wax produced using current GE prices for the runes and using their usual wax generator quantities.

It would be best to do this by simply having the user input the rune types used, the number of tries, and how much vis wax they would get. The user can then compare the profit of each of their chosen options because it varies so much between players. Anyway, this is a great idea- support!

Extreme set calculator

A calculator to find the gp/xp of making a full set of extreme attack, strength, defence, magic and range potions. This would be useful for people getting to 96 herblore making sets of extreme potions.

This isn't really a calculator, but here it is, just add all the ingredients' price and divide by the xp for all. So, Something like This. Iam666 (talk) 21:51, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Fixed. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 00:58, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

Evolution of Combat Changes

The Evolution of combat has made many changes, therefore many calculators will have to be changed too. These calculators include: Max hits, Prayer burying xp (action bar makes it faster to bury), xp rates for combat, ect.

Pottery Calculator

a calculator that is used to figure out how many of a certain pottery item is needed to reach a specific crafting level.

Expanded

I would like to be able to fetch exp from highscores, such as with tip.it calcs, and be able to input the number of resources/objects you are using/mining/making/smelthing/etc... I would hope this would include the cost based on current ge price and everything else you have now. I feel that the ability to work backwards from a calc to see how far you could get with a set amount of resources would be revolutionary and bring a lot of traffic to this site. it would be extremely gelpful instead of manually calculating it or going up the levels by 1 ina tip.it or tip.it-like calc.

Updated with new information

A claculator that determines how many of a monster you need to kill to obtain a certain combat level. That would be cool and not very hard to make. Edit: also the profit for fighting them (drops) and which monster bring in the most revenue based on your level.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.195.72.194 (talk).

I do like that idea, however the second part would be a bit tricky seeing as we can't predict the next drop. :P

same with range and mage. can also include prayer bonuses and special attacks

This won't be possible for quite awhile as we don't know the formula (only Jagex knows it). A user is trying to figure out the formula but it won't be a calculator any time soon. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 05:29, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

House designer calculator

What i wana know is, why isn't there a calculator for making an actual blueprint of a house? There should really be one. Here's how it would work: You would select a space in the planner, then you would select the type of room you would want there. Then, you would decide which direction it faced, and then you would select the furnature that you would place in it. When your house is entirely planned, you can look up how much the house would cost if you bought all the things needed from the ge, used flatpacks, collected everything from scratch, ect. Scaper12123 16:16, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Well the problem with that is that the layout is so small and they tell us to not make flash calcs just javascript. --Cakemix 00:29, April 6, 2011 (UTC)
Making this is infeasible with our currently available tools. We'd need either to embed some java or flash, which have very large security holes on an open wiki editing site like this, or some genius javascripter willing to spend significant time making a drag-drop interface or whatever - which we can't hope to happen of its own accord. So, for now, it will be very unlikely that anyone would mange to make a good one. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 02:53, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Might take a look at this one. Zorak plorak - Talk Hiscores

I am willing also to look into this. I will need to figure it out a bit. Do some research on this. See how to implement it. It might need its own JS for the wiki. Due to the limits of the regular calculator template Wink I will definitely take some looks into this. --User:Coaster4321/Sig 16:01, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

== More stores, and casting spells without nats/profit ==

For buying from a store, then selling to the G.E.:

~Rune stores

~Armour/weapon shops

~Archery stores

Generly every store you can make a profit from.

Also a low Alchemy calc for those that aren't a high enough lv to use High alch.... assuming there are profitable ways to use low alch.

Included in calcs already made:

Explorer ring: superheat, low alch, and high alch, implemented into the calculators, to determine profit without cost of Nature runes.

Skill calculators

Have something that allows people to calculate the actions needed to gain a certain level for every single skill. RuneHQ has excellent examples of those. We don't even have one of those for each skill and the ones that we have are either crappy or dysfunctional. --LiquidTalk 21:49, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

I wrote a draft of my critiques here. I think a change that would be nice functionally as well as aesthetically would be to have checkboxes for skill boosts. This will be especially useful for skills that have many combinations of possible boosts, such as prayer or woodcutting (altar/ectofuntus with 1/2 burners, and different pieces of lumberjack suit, respectively). --LiquidTalk 01:34, April 6, 2011 (UTC)
Checkboxes are certainly an addition that I have asked for and will be in the DynamicForms script (the new version of the calculator script), thought whether it will be added to the current version I'm not sure. As for the critiques, the main problem is that the Hiscores extension is broked and Wikia is just derping around not fixing it per Cat's submission. There is a 'hacky js version' in the works, I imagine that once its ready it will be added to the current script. Until then, retrieving data from the hiscores is simply not a viable option.
As for the rest of it, should all be reasonably easy to do providing people understand how to do it and can be bothered to. Next time I need something to do maybe I'll check it out. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 02:48, April 6, 2011 (UTC)
I can try to fix that RSHiscores ... Dunno or i'll be able to - Zorak Plorak (not logged in right now)

Stealing creations calc

A stealing creations calc should exist.

I want to get 99 construction. I don't know how many points/ stealing creations hammers I need to get for 99. When I put my level/xp/name, I'll be able to find out that I need 51695 hammers to get to 99 ( or a certain amount of experience) .

Same with fishing, crafting etc.

good luck. Moey 12:30, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

This has now been added to the construction calculator. It will still need to be added to other skills as requested. --Henneyj 19:51, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

Calculators/Max hit melee, Calculators/Max hit ranged, Calculators/Magic maximum hit. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 10:20, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

Smelting

I'd like to see a calculator for smelting experience to tell you how many of each ore and coal you need to reach a target level. It'd be especially useful if it could also include experience from urns. Inclusivedisjunction 11:59, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

We have Calculators/Ores, it doesn't yet have urns though. ɳex undique 12:03, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
That currently only covers profit/loss per experience, though, not numbers of ores for each level. Inclusivedisjunction 22:20, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

Item generator

I think i would be very cool if you could make an item generator, meaning u have a basic runescape character but one can add ANY item to them to see what it looks like or would look like, also can see the bonus it gives you, and the overall price of what you are wearing...

I think this would be a cool feature that would help out a lot a players. 69.84.110.160 16:40, April 25, 2011 (UTC)yourboy101

If you mean something like basicly a RuneScape Character showing the outfit it would be nearly impossible. You should image you have to make pictures of all combinations. Or: Helm + Upper body, Body, Lower body+ legs (Which means really less pictures). Or by item. But the major problem is: The RuneScape Wikia (and Wikia overall) doesn't support CSS3, Flash, Java, parts of javascript... I can continue this list for some time. Therefor: It's a nice idea. But the overall price/bonus works already, just click on compare stats. -- Zorak Plorak (In fact, not logged in, so: 84.85.229.118 17:22, April 29, 2011 (UTC))

Flipping Profits Calculator/Merching Utility

Hi, everyone. It's been a long time since I've done much with the wiki and been a long time since I've done anything with javascript or especially the wiki scripting language. However, I've still been playing RS and started flipping. So, having lookes into almost every programming language there is, including assembly, (don't try it, it will kill your brain,) I decided to code a merching utility that will walk me/you through the process of flipping and keep track of/estimate profits. Sooo, I am working on the C/C++ script for the progran but might have some trouble converting it into the wiki format. It is well documented, and would be easy to replicate, if someone was willing. So, if someone was willing to try, I could give them the source. Anyone interested?

lessers

how many lesser needed to kill to get to lvl 99 atak, strength and defence.

Or how many monsters of a certain life points need to be killed to get a given amount of experience

Dungeoneering

money calculator. You select a monster to kill ( or other thing ) , you select the loot you pick .

After , you select the amount of money you want in total , and the calculator will say how many monster you need to kill to reach the "amount of coin".

Thanks you ! :)

A calculator to work out how long roughly it will take to get a Dungeoneering reward, or amount of tokens. Depending on your combined levels.

What would be the purpose of this? In dungeoneering there are a limited number (and random type) of mosters available, and they drop (mostly) random loot. You can't plan to go out and kill a certain number of a specific type of monster (they don't respawn), just whatever you happen to find. Also the loot is so random you wouldn't know what you would get anyways and any estimation/averaging would be hugely innaccurate because you kill so few of each type of monster.

Play-time required to reach goal

Something that can be added to existing calculators is estimated time remaining (or something along the lines of that) It would show you how many hours you would have to spend to do a certain task for example.. Reach 99 mining - 215 hours (example)

This would have to be based on estimates, and if there were no interuptions etc.

Not my suggestion. Added missing heading. ~J22f~TGC 22:12, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
I think this would be too hard to do because of the variables of equipment, training method, and plain luck. 19:35, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Rune Respawn Calculator

I can't take the credit for this idea. Nonetheless I think it is a brilliant idea.

It revolves around calculating how long a rune rock take to respawn dependant on an inputted amount of players on that world. Option to put up to 5 or 6 rocks in to the calculator as people often hop worlds for mining rune.

The original idea can be found here:

http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/forums.ws?14,15,317,62754404,goto,1

There's a couple of other ideas there too, but that was the one they were championing.

ZMI Runecrafting Calculator

A calculator that can estimate the number of Zmi runs for a certain level would be nice. The only variable I can think of would be RC level, as an Ardougne cloak 2+ doesn't grant extra experience. Would that be possible, keeping in mind that you get different xp each run? 16:37, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

Dungeoneering cost/exp + profit calculator

It would be nice to have a set of dungeoneering skills calculators based on the prices of raw materials from the smuggler. As a bonus, the prices would be static and not need to be updated with the GE. Here are the ones I think would be most useful and fairly easy to do.

Construction - Cost per exp for each of the items that can be built in the starting room (a very small, simple chart).

Cooking - Cost per exp for each of the fish sold by the smuggler, probably would have to ignore burning rates and cost of logs.

Crafting - Cost per exp for armour made from each of the hides and textiles (taking into account exp from spinning as well) sold by the smuggler (could add cost of thread but it is probably small enough to ignore).

Firemaking - Cost per exp for burning each of the logs sold by the smuggler.

Fletching - Cost per exp for fletching bows, arrows, staves, and traps with wood bought from the smuggler.

Smithing - Cost per exp for smithing items from each of the ores sold by smuggler (both smelting and smithing exp should be added together.

There are others that could be done (summoning, herblore, farming), but I think these are both the simplest and the most useful.

Jennybeen 15:52, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

This was the best dungeoneering idea I have seen on this list(that fits my idea), but I would like to add another idea to this one. Include how much money can be returned upon selling or low/high alching the item, great for those skillers out there. Plus, herblore and farming should be included, along with everything else. I like herb and farm in dung since I find them to be the best money making in dung, which lets me skill infinitely longer. There may be no gp gain, but there is no gp loss.

Cleanup

I was trying to use the combat calc and it completely threw me off so it probably needs updated.

Constitution Calculator

Would it be possible to make a calculator that would tell you your constitution level once you reach a other combat skill

This could be difficult because of the fact that there are different ways to train strength and constitution. 19:31, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Gp/XP and Changes to current calcs.

GP/XP Request: Maybe you can make a GP/XP calc for every buyable skill using the GE database so it'll constantly change whenever the GE updates. The effiency calc is good, but I am too lazy too calc my cost per hr and xp per hr so it doesn't quite work for me. :p

OR... Make a guide on how to make them and I will :>

Changes to current calcs:

The firemaking, agility, and mining skill calculators need the option if you are using a horn or not.

The Prayer experience rate calculator is incorrect for burying bones as it is impossible to bury 3,600 bones p/hour as that would mean more than 1 Bone per second which is impossible, especially since you have to bank after finishing burying an inventory of bones. I would estimate that 1,000 bones is much more realistic p/hour

I think this 3600 bones/hour with help from the abilitybar.

Inventory and Equiptment costs:

Let people calculate the total cost for their "dream outfit" in which the prices will also be taken from the GE database so it will change on a daily basis.

Just throwing ideas out there. :p

Damage to XP Calcluator

Hello. I've been doing a lot of maging at soul wars recently, and I have seen some hits that give me 500+ xp. I was interested to see what kind of damage I was doing when I gave those hits. Maybe reverse-engineering the max hit calc would help... P.S. I was using a multitarget spell.

TEARS OF GUTHIX CALCULATOR

I'm looking for a calculator that can return how much xp can be obtain from Tears of Guthix based on a given level. Input the amount of tears into the calculator along with your starting level before entering the minigame and return the amount of xp based on the amount of tears collected.

This can be done, but it's a bit more complicated because the experience given is calculated by current experience, not level. I made Calculators/Tears of Guthix. ʞooɔ 02:11, July 10, 2011 (UTC)

Dungeoneering Calculator...

I have an achievable idea... Dungeoneering calculator... calculating roughly how many levels you'd have to play in order to get to a specific level (assuming you open all doors and dont die...). How much experience you get for each floor and divide that by the experience needed to obtain a level desired by the players... I myself would find this extremely helpful... Example: (Random numbers)

Current XP/Level

Experience : 10678

Amount of Level/Experience wished to gain

Level: 60

Level: Experience Gain: How many Times:

Level 1 1067 213

Level 2 1578 187

... ... ...

...ect..

Not sure how achievable this really is... The experience you get per floor varies an extreme amount with level, amount of people, size, prestige, level mod (this is a big factor that stops it - it really depends on how many guardian doors you have), etc., so after all of that, you figure, at 110 dungeoneering with 55 prestige, I get 80K or so from a decent-ish abandoned II, but 150K or so from a decent warped. At the same time, I can get 70K from the abandoned, and 125K or so from the warped. It has a lot of varying factors. Citadel Battlefield calculator

With this i would liketo request a Clan Citadel Battlefield calculator/planner. Would be helpful for all those that wish to create a battlefield yet dont have the rank.

Making enchanted bolts from scratch (with profit/ loss at each step)

Basically, the cost of buying bars vs smelting ores, smithing unfinished bolts, buying feathers (store vs GE), buying bolt tips vs cutting gems, and cost of runes for enchanting said bolts. Including profit vs current GE price would be a plus. Example:

Adamantite Ore- 846 (per bolt- 84.6)

Coal- 263 x 6 (per bolt- 157.8)

Feather- GE- 18 Store- 6

Ruby- 1306 (per bolt- 108.8)

Runes (blood and cosmic) (per bolt- 40.7)

Total cost per bolt (feathers from store): 397.7

Total cost per bolt (feathers from GE): 409.7

GE price of ruby bolts (e): 477

Profit: (store)- 79.3 (GE)- 67.3

While simply buying ruby bolts and enchanting them yourself is more cost effective, this shows the profit you can make while still getting a large amount of smithing, fletching, and magic experience. Another possiblity to include is if the ore is superheated, as that would cut into profit but give more magic experience. Also, Blast Furnace option

Dicing

A calc. to predict your next roll based on your previous rolls. The Excel Talk 16:41, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

You're joking, right? Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 17:16, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Nope... It can actauly be done, rs use an algorithem for the roll... I mean heck why not? Wouldn't it be useful for alot of people? The Excel Talk 17:23, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
using the variable to represent your first roll, you are able to extrapolate future rolls using Newton's Fourth Law:
this creates a bell curve, with accuracy gradually increasing until the apex. after that, accuracy will decrease exponentially; this can be rectified by adding more data (more rolls) to the equation. --Iiii I I I 17:24, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Unless Jagex derped massively, dice rolls are independent events. Thus your previous rolls make no different to your next or any future rolls. The algorithm of which you speak is going to be a random number generator - probably the same RNG as what controls drops and such, with a scaling function to get the output number down to between 1 and 100 inclusive.
I could make you a calculator if you like but the result would be static, or at least only vary with the win threshold. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 17:38, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Bonus received

I'd like a calculator to help determine how much of a bonus I am going to get. For example: I normally get 480 xp for an action, but if I get x2.5 bonus, what is the bonus?

caculator that calculates the odds of drops from rare drop table not just giving rare very rare uncommon so on and so forth but actually percentages such as with charms or even 1 in xxxx like effigies

Would love a calculator that added all the stats of armour and weapons.

1. Just use a normal calculator like on your desktop or phone.

2.Alot of this is not known by the players, and would be mostly guesses and data from drop logs, which would still be wildly inaccurate.

3.Good idea, but this would take alot of entering values, for every item-

-LP Boost?

-Mage/range/mele?

-Armour bonus?

-damage?

etc.  Iam666 (talk) 20:18, May 18, 2014 (UTC)

GE Item comparison

More of a tool than a Calculator.

You know how you can compare weapons and armour?

Well let's compare GE prices under two scpecific headings, buying & selling, with a multiplication option.

This calculator could replace most of the others out there.

Example #1

under buying I put:

Item 1: Coal X 10

Item 2: Iron X 5

Item 3: Nature rune X 5

Under selling I put:

Steel Platebody X 1

The calculator then shows me a clear picture of profit/loss for:

  1. Purchasing raw resource
  2. superheating steel bars, and
  3. selling steel platebodies on GE

Example #2

Under buying I put:

Item 1: Vial of water X 4

Item 2: Grimy Toadflax X 4

Item 3: Crushed Birds Nest X 4

Under selling I put:

Item 1: Saradomin Brew(4) X 3

Item 2: Empty Vial X 1

The calculator then shows me a clear picture of profit/loss for:

  1. Purchasing raw resource
  2. Decanting into a more proffitable sale
  3. Selling everything left.

Quest Calculator

While I'm not sure if it qualifies as a calculator or not, I feel it is a decent idea. The player would input all skill levels and then be told what quests they can complete with those levels, with boosts, or those they cannot do. In that case, it might say how many levels are needed in the relevant skill to do that specific quest. This would likely be a large page to view, so filters might be necessary. Take this how you will, but personally I would find it useful. Thanks.

It would also be helpful if the player could tick off quests that they have already completed, making it easier too see the requirements for their unsolved quests. As mentioned above, I believe that filters would be very helpful to easily see what quest's you've done / need to complete.

Yes! I had the same idea. Someone needs to make this!

- Thought the same thing, along with current gold(incase you choose to buy all the required items), and maybe made into a downloadable file(to save server memory) OR data could be stored onto the server memory with the persons profile so it can be accessed online. And maybe instead of having to type in your skills, maybe just your RS username, where it picks up all the stats off of the main site.

P.S. There is a plain "check off list" in the quests page on RS game, gives the options to show recommended quests, quests you can do, and removes completed quests. That is for those who see this, but this calculator would definitely be more detailed then in the game, and should be made into a downloadable file so all the quests that are going to be done, are a simple click away to the main site and make life more simple.

Equipment Stat Comparison

A calculator where you can choose different items to be put in different equipment slots and it will show you the total stat bonus of that set. possibly a second one right next to it so you can compare the stats of 2 different sets. it should show attack stats, defence stats, strength stats, absorb stats, prayer bonus, hp boost, weight and anything I may have missed

You can use the compare items function on each piece of equipment's page to find

out the total bonus of using them all. Hunter cape (t) Sentra246Blue hallowe'en mask 04:43, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

Need x urns for x xp

I don't know how wiki codes it, so I didn't want to try myself =\. But, take xp to fill urn add xp the urn gives, then take whatever someone puts in (like 4m xp to 99) and it tells you how many urns you'll need to use to get that much xp.

I keep having to do the math for friends who need to know, so this would be easier for others as well who would want to know. Forum moderator crownFerrelShadowSlayer 20:54, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

it would be nice to see a calculator for the price return for giving flatpack items to miscellania in coins. :) cheers

High Alch Calculator detailed

Keep it how it is but add a column of price divided by profit. This would make it nice to see what is giving me the best profit for the money! I am looking all over for this and cannot find anything. It would be very simple.

Extreme Potions Extension

Requesting an extension to the extreme potions calculator which determines the cost, xp gained and the cost/xp for making the various untradable potions from scratch and from unfinished potions.

For example take a Super Antifire potion. If i were to buy a Lantadyme potion (unf), dragonscale dust and obtain a phoenix feather the calculator could show me all the relevant information, like the existing herblore calculators do.

Make a calculator for the amount of polypore flakes needed to repair the polypore armor at different amounts of degradation.

Tokkul -> Stores -> Ge

Cost for Max Cape

Moblishing Armies calculator

Profit/Credit calculator would be nice to have with Moblishing Armies. Profit per single credit.

A Sack/Basket filling/emptying + one more!

A Sack/Basket filling and emptying profit calculator would be nice. I made alot of money doing this, but found it annoying to have to check all prices to see which one does best. Also, I dont know if its possible, but a cheese profit calculator, where you enter your level, and it gives you an average for how much cheese you will earn per wheel, as well as profit from buying milk off G.E.

This should help with your first request. I don't have the proper information for the second. Dsctatom (talk) 19:15, January 29, 2014 (UTC)

Weapon/Armor Combination Calculator

I think there should be a calculator in which you put your combat stats in it to get a best combination of the weapon and armor for use in combat. Example: with attack 60, defence 60, strength 62, Someone should wear a dragon body of some sort, dragon plate legs, dragon boots, and a dragon longsword. Aswell as having mele also have one for each combat style.

"Best" in what sense? Maximum defense bonus for the armour? Maximum dps for the weapon? The latter would depend on what monster is being attacked. Stewbasic (talk) 05:25, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

Component Comparator

A calculator that not only gets an up-to-date Grand Exchange value; but calculates the total worth of it's components also, and lets you compare.

For example; if I were to search Adamant Bar, it would return the going-rate of an Adamant Bar, but also return the total price of an Adamantite Ore and 8 Coal.

This way, players can see instantly whether they are making a profit or loss on a particular item.

That'd be extremely impractical because it would require us to hardcode everything and its materials into it. MolMan 18:13, September 1, 2013 (UTC)

Should be easy to accomplish but unfortunately I don't know how: Based on http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Grand_Exchange/Buying_limits just add a "Current guide price"-column and a column, where it multiplies Buying limit and Current guide price, so you know how much you can buy of a certain item per 4 hours.

Thanks!

Store to GE / vice versa profit calculator

A caculator that examines current Grand Exchange prices and compares it with the buy/sell price of an NPC owned store.

If the GE price is greater than the buying from store price, the item can be bought from the store and sold to the GE for profit (this will be indicated by the calculator, which will specify the amount of profit and allow the user to sort the items listed based on profit).

If the GE price is less than the selling to store price, the item can be bought from the GE and sold to the store for profit. (Again, indicated by the calculator).

The calculator should be able to access current pricing data for all tradable items.

LP healing

Calculator that tells food type & Constitution level needed for it to heal you its best ammount of LP. For example: Lobster heals 800 if your Constitution level is 40 or higher. Atleast with most popular food to chose from the list would be nice.

Splitting Granite

id be perfectly willing to make this myself if i could figure it out but id like a calculator that shows profit/loss for splitting granite  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.2.142.81 (talk).

It would be something like:

5Kg Granite = (1004x2)+(325x2) = 2754gp

Profit would be Answer - 5Kg granite price

Splitting more than one 5Kg Granite would the same but times the answer by however many you have.

So for example you have 1000 it would be (1004x2)+(325x2)*1000 = 2754000gp - (1000x5Kg granite price) = Profit.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.2.142.81 (talk).

Quest Levels Calculator

Dungeoneering resets/floors

Not just how much xp you get per floor, I think it would be nice to be able to put in small/med/large, and your Dungeoneering level, and your target level, and be told how many resets and how many loose floors it will take to reach that amount.

Good idea would be a daily challenge calculator: Put in your level and the skill and it pops out how much xp you will get when you turn it in.

Silverhawk feathers

How much xp you get at certain levels and how many feathers to get to 99 agility.

Runecoin/Loyalty Point Calculator

Basically you would input how many coins you had, and it would tell you what items you could buy for that exact amount or as close as possible without going over. For example, if you put in 500 runecoins, it would show you combinations of items that equaled 500 coins, prioritizing the most expensive items.

Quest Calculator

I was thinking about having a QUEST CALCULATOR. What this calculator would do is that it would calculate the quests you can do with the skills you have. You know it gets really tiring to see what quests you can do with your levels, simply use this calculator to check it.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Trollsors (talk) on 06:18, March 31, 2014 (UTC).

This would be 110% pointless. There are filter buttons in the quest log for this. Except that some quests have quest requirements to start them, so this would tell you all the quests you could do with your skill levels, granted you complete the quest requirements.

I think it should take your skill total and calculate how much of the item the divine location will give you, then tell you how much it's all worth or how much xp you'll get. This could result in a table for all divine locations, or just specific ones that you choose to see. Also if one were to make the location themselves, the calculator should compensate how much was lost to make the profit.

"Elemental Obelisks can be used to charge unpowered orbs into elemental orbs which can be attached to battlestaves to make Fire, Water, Earth or Air Battlestaves .

To charge an unpowered orb , it must be taken to the obelisk of the element that the player wishes to have the orb charged to as well as the required runes to charge the orb.

There is an obelisk of airobelisk of earthobelisk of water, and an obelisk of fire. The obelisk of earth is in the Edgeville Dungeon, the obelisk of air above it, and the obelisk of fire and water are in the Taverley Dungeon."

We could calculate the costs it would take (in terms of the runes using and without using elemental staves) to cast the spell and the cost of the unpowered orb (All in GE values). And then have the GE value for the powered orbs and calculate the profit/ea and profit/xp.

There is already a calculate for crafting battlestaves ( http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculator:Crafting/Battlestaves ), but this calculator does not have an unpowered to powered orb calculator.

Magic notepaper calculator

Calculates if using magic notepaper is worth using or not.

input should of course be the price at which you bought the notepaper.

at this point it would seem always useless, because you would always have exactly the loss of the price of 1 notepaper per item.

to calculate if its profitable, a player has to find out, what profit will be made per minute during the trip (without banking) and the banking time.

with this information it should be possible to compare the profit made through not having to bank, and the loss made from buying the notepaper.

i couldnt find any other method, because the profit depends strongly on the banking time. (for example when standing in a bank and fletching, it would be stupid to note the bows, since you can bank them in a second- compared to slaying gwd bosses, were banking is extremely time consuming, because of having to get the killcount)

maybe you have a better idea what input information is the easiest to get for a player who doesnt want to do any calculations by himself before using the calculator, but i guess a player has at least to do one trip while watching the time used for walking and doing whatever he is doing and price checking after the trip.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.128.162.207 (talk) on 19:15, April 8, 2014 (UTC).

the probiblem i see with this is that we would need to know what items exactly to compare to i'm sure. (myself not a great coder) however i do agree that places like gwd and haveing comparison against items that typically drop would be a good idea.--  Magic  Hailfire Talk HS Farming 07:23, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

Grand Exchange calculator

I think you should add a calculator, Grand Exchange calculator to be exact. I honestly think there should be a combat calculator. I know it would be hard for you to do, but maybe someone inputs their current ranged level, their desired ranged level (this can be for any combat skill) and and equipment they are using and the output would be the monster that is best for them to train on. • Degradeable weapons which use ammo (eg. Ascention crossbow), cost = [repair cost / number of hits] + GE price of ammo (might need some modifications since some weapons also degrade when player is hit)

It would be cool to have a calculator for the money-making guide that takes your runescape stats into account. You would pull the info from whichever runescape acount name you put in or manually put your desired stats (or all stats) in and click calculate. It would then only show the money-making methods that you qualify for. You could also put in completed quests form (optional) for added optimization of fields for the money-making method display. Additionally, you could color code the boxes in relation to how difficult that method would be (in consideration of skill levels involved, possibly separated into different categories, such as:

  • Combat Level Range
  • Each Involved Skill Separated Into It's Own Row
  • A Total Difficulty Based Upon The Above Skills Involved

Each of these could be displayed on a graphical representation with black being too early of a level and green being the point at which the skill can be used most efficiently, possibly somthing like - Black = Impossible, Red = Very Difficult, Orange = Difficult, Yellow = Slightly Difficult, Yellow-Green,= Average Difficulty, Green = Easy.

Of course, some skills would end up going from black directly to green and could be possibly omitted from the graphical representation afterward as they are reached and mentioned elsewhere, such as in the guide for that money-making method. You could then, sort the methods via multiple options such as money spent, time inviolved, bank trips, initial investment, involvement, etcetera.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.168.16.173 (talk) on 17:12, 3 June 2014.

While you may think this is a good idea, it's not. Calculators are often made with JavaScript, and therefore require some knowledge of programming. This is a very extensive idea, and would take a very long time; not to mention, the upkeep required for this sort of calculator would be ludicrous. This idea would not only require tons of upkeep, but would also be almost entirely opinion-based, i.e. what would be good enough money for a given level, etc. GEMW and Wikia's scripting would probably not be enough to handle this, making JS a requirement. monster drop log calculator

I do not know if this would really be a calculator, but what about a monster item drop log for each monster in runescape. There are already charm logs set up that calculate the drop rate for charms for monsters, why not make a log based off the same mechanics but for drops instead? I have got a few excels with queen black dragon drops that I had done awhile ago. After the kills/drops are logged, users could see what the drop % is for the monster's drops. I imagine this would be really useful for logging boss drops as well as slayer.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.169.237.26 (talk) on 03:37, 4 June 2014.

Most people use external programs for this; it's a fairly big task for anything with a decent set of features. I have one that I've made myself, though, I don't know that I'm allowed to offer it to you due to the RuneScape Wiki's standards. Other than that, it's not too likely that you'll see one that's web-based; at least, probably not on the wiki. Quest Requirement Calculator

For quests with a long list of requirements (The Temple at Senntisten for example), I think it would be nice if you could enter your RSN in a field, after which all requirements would automatically be marked (un)achieved based on the stats and quest list of the adventure log of that account. This would save a lot of time of looking everything up in your quest log yourself.

I'm not sure if you could classify this as a 'calculator', but this is the best place I found to submit this idea.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 89.99.11.106 (talk) on 08:44, 4 June 2014.

There might be something like this somewhere, but I kind of doubt it. I know that certain external tools, such as SwiftKit, will do this for you; however, just know that neither JaGEx nor the RuneScape wiki neither promotes nor condones the use of such tools. Other than that, I don't know that the wiki has one; it would have to be integrated into the Quest infobox template, which would be fairly simple to do. I'll see what I can do if I have enough free time. Dungeoneering master cape TheLunarFrog Talk Dungeoneering-icon 14:58, June 4, 2014 (UTC)

Spell Cast Calculator

A  calculator that determines how many teleport spells are neeeded to be cast for any given level. Possibilities include having two input boxex, one for current level and one or desired level and output a string of exp needed divided by exp given per cast. also a checkbox to select which teleport spell to be used. (trollheim, Lumbridge etc.) Many mages would find this useful as it is a fast, albiet expensive way to train magic while not having to pay attention. An extra addition would be cost and amount of runes required for each level target. I apologise if such a calculator exixts.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.169.128.108 (talk) on 08:52, 4 June 2014.

Best Food Calculator, Based on current level

Runespan Calculator

This would be nice for calculating things like points and xp. An example would be:

level/xp = 1

wanted level/xp = 2

xp needed = 83

air esslings -- 9 siphons

cyclones -- 5 successful siphons

OR

level = 1

points wanted = 175

air esslings -- 1750

cyclones -- 1750

It would be great with showing the amount of runes needed for a certain level or amount of points, showing the best thing to train on. Thank you for considering!

Meg Calculator

This calculator would be less numbers, and more convience in replacing the CTRL+F function. As some of you may know, there is a weekly Distraction & Diversion located inside of Player-Owned Ports that is "Meg". We have a very, very, very long subsection listing all the possible questions she will ask. Instead of using CTRL+F, we could make a compacted calculator. How I envision it to work is that you begin typing the words she's currently saying, and it'll bring up close matches, for example if her sentence begins with "Okay so,", that would show up in results, subject to be narrowed down. Charm transmutation calculator

My suggestion is to design a calculator that shows how many lower-level charms, and how much money, you need in total to get a higher-level charm. For instance, if I have a lot of gold charms and want crimson charms, I need gold charms and one type of energy to convert them to green; then I need the green charms and another type of energy to convert them to crimson. Options should include what you want to convert (six options: gold to green, gold to crimson, gold to blue, green to crimson, green to blue, crimson to blue), and how many of the higher-level I want to get - or perhaps alternately, how many of the lower I want to convert, since that is limited by how many I actually have.

So, basically, the calculator would answer a question like: "I have 1340 gold charms; how many crimson charms can I get for that, and how much will it cost me? Also, what is the unit price - i.e., how many gold charms and how many coins am I sacrificing for each crimson charm?"

Ideally, the assumption would be that all energy is purchased at the suggested Grand Exchange price (as a reminder, if you have the energy yourself, you still have the "opportunity cost" of not selling it). In the above example, for each crimson charm the calculator would need to add up: (1) the gold charms and money (to purchase the required energy) to get 3 green charms, and (2) the money (again, to buy the energy) to convert the 3 green charms into one crimson charm. Similarly, to convert green to blue, the calculations need to be done for the two transmutation levels, while a conversion from gold to blue requires three levels.

I've made something like this here for personal use: Worth of a blue charm by Transmutation but if I figure out some stuff and get bored enough training Fishing I'll make one that you can change variables of and choose charm start points, as it were.

Ore Respawn Calculator

This Calculator will be very helpful to miners. The player can choose X number of worlds, and the ore they will be mining. Since most players know how many ores they will be mining each world jump, perhaps an additional option could be selecting how many ores the player will be mining as well.

The calculator will figure out how long it will take for that ore to respawn, depending on the population of the world. It must update every so often to provide accuracy. If possible, it would be nice if there was a timer for each world as well, with the message "Ore Respawned" displayed upon hitting 00:00. Of course, the only way for the calculator to know when to begin counting down, the timer must either be activated by the player or must connect to the players account to know when s/he has logged out of which world (assuming they have mined the ores just before logging out.)

Getting this calculator to work with the concentrated coal/gold deposits would be helpful too. Thanks a lot guys, and good luck!

Warband level calculator

Given a starting level and a desired target level, calculate the number of warbands (assuming the max 25 items are looted and no extra items are taken from other players) it would take to get to that desired level. Could either be iterative (while not at level, add xp from another warband) or somebody could properly calculate the formula based on the xp/lvl and warband xp/item formulas. (It probably wouldn't be hard to adapt this to xp lamps and fallen stars as well, but I'm not sure of the usefulness as you can only very indirectly influence getting more of those.)

As I write this another thought occurred to me. Does dropping some supplies, turning in just enough to get to the next level, picking up the drops and turning those in at the new level get you more xp?

It would probably have to be iterative, I don't think the discontinuities in the warband xp function could be captured easily in a formula. It doesn't seem to simplify either due to the exponential growth of xp/lvl but only quadratic growth of xp/warband: the number of warbands to get from level L to level L+1 is apx. ceil((3 x 1.110409 ^ L) / ((L(L-2))/2 + 50)). At L=1, this value is 1 (ceil(.067)), whereas at L=98 this value is still only 11 (ceil(10.334))

A Slayer task calculater which calculates the chance of getting a specific task based on the weighting

A Slayer task calculater which calculates the chance of getting a specific task based on the weighting of each Slayer master (Example: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Kuradal)

The chance to be given a certain assignment is calculated from a weighting system. Each assignment has as specific weighting (different per Slayer Master). To calculate the percentage chance of obtaining a slayer task, you have to add up all the weightings for assignments you can have access to that aren't blocked from the table above.
Then the formula to calculate the percentage chance to get a certain assignment is:

  • A = The weighting of the assignment you want to calculate.
  • B = the total weighting of the tasks you can be assigned added up.
  • Y = The percentage chance a particular assignment has to appear.

How Many Overloads - How many other Potions do I need to make?

Starting with the Ability to Make Super Attack Potions - The Lowest Requirement - and Ending with Overload Potions as your final result. This calculator should take in the following into the equation.

Bonus EXP - Current Super Potions - Current Level and Desired Level being the Ability to Make Overload Potions.

Current Super Potions would be.

I have 1k Super Defense Potions - 500 Super Strength Potions - 600 Super Attack Potions - 200 Super Ranging Potions - 200 Super Magic Potions.

How many of each potion (minimum) will need to be made to balance them out and start making Extreme Attack - Str - Def - Range and Mage Potions.

Where the end result is Just enough of the Extreme Potions to be Made at a 1:1:1:1:1 Ratio to make 1 Overload at the required Herblore level.

Where when I hit level 96 Herblroe I will be able to make 1600 Overloads and that will gain me "x" experience and my final result will be Level: X - with Y exp until Level : Z and y-exp until Level : 99.

If the end result is 1600 overloads with my current Potions I will need.

600 More Super Defense - 1100 More Super Strengths - 1000 More Super Attack - 1400 More Super Rangin Potions - 1400 More Super Magic Potions.

I will need to make no more of those potions to get my level.

Then say I adjusted my Super Defense Potions from 1k to 1,600 (Buying them because they're cheaper to buy than make)

It would account the weight of it's importance as compared to the others and also the end result. Where it might adjust the End REsult Number of Overloads down to 1595 as compared to 1600 where I would still make 1600 instead of 1595.

Burn Rate Calculator

I was wondering if we could do a calculator based on the burn rate of cooking foods in RS? Like, a percentage rate of how often you'll burn things at your current level, including the factors such as cooking gauntlets and method of cooking (fire, standard range and Lumbridge ranges are the main ones, right?), as well as stating an average amount of burnt foods in a full inventory. I've been trying to find one everywhere, but no luck.

I think it'd be great if there was a way to tell how many charms I'd need to get to a certain level of summoning if I used a certain number of spirit gems (sapphire emerald etc)...

like right now i'd need 755 green charms to get to 46 summoning but I have several spirit sapphires and emeralds so I know I'll need a few less charms than 755... I'd love to know how many I'd most likely need if I used all of my spirit emeralds, sapphires and rubies.

It would probably only be an estimated reduction due to the charm saving only being a chance, not a guarantee, but someone might be able to work something out. Small recharge gem AnselaJonla Slayer-icon 03:15, October 10, 2014 (UTC)
I think I see how it could work, but I don't know the coding necessary to make a calculator. The way I see it, it's [starting number of charms]+10*[number of spirit sapphires]+20*[emeralds]+30*[ruby]+40*[diamond]+50*[dragonstone]+60*[onyx], as each charm saved by a gem would be a +1 to the total number you can use to make pouches.
