Quick Note
NOTE: DO NOT use curses, the deflective properties can cause the the magical attack to bounce around and kill everybody. Unless you would like to die a quick and painful death do no use them. Curses can denote a kick from the friends chat if this is a reoccuring problem.
Preparation
The kalphite queen hits very hard and accurately, so good armour is imperative. Some suggestions follow - note that Verac's armour set is very effective in the fight, and not using it requires a slightly different strategy and setup.
- With Verac's set
- Helm: Full slayer helm (if on task, first form only) > Verac's helm
- Body: Verac's brassard
- Legs: Verac's plateskirt
- Weapon:
- First form: Chaotic maul/Chaotic longsword/Chaotic rapier > Abyssal vine whip/Abyssal whip/Godsword/Goliath gloves
- Second form: Verac's flail
- Shield (first form only, if not using a two-handed weapon): Divine/Elysian spirit shield > Spectral spirit shield/Dragonfire shield/Dragon defender/Chaotic kiteshield > Dragon sq shield/Toktz-ket-xil

- Beast of Burden, filled with food, with a secondary pouch for once it runs out of food - combat familiar (steel titan > iron titan > geyser titan > etc) or healing familiar (unicorn stallion > Elemental titans > bunyip)
- If this is your first time to the kalphite lair you will need 2 ropes - if you have visited the lair before, but not the queen, just 1 rope (this can be done before the event)
The Fight
Before the fight, we will meet up at Shanty Pass. Once everyone is ready, we will pass through the gate (remember, you can pay the toll from your money pouch or bank, a pass is not required) and head west to the Kalphite Hive. Once we reach there we will climb down (you will need a rope here if you have not climbed down before - advised to do beforehand) and make our way through the hive until shortly before the entrance to the queen's lair (again, a rope is required). Once ready, we will run into the deeper lair and attack the queen.
Make sure to turn on lootshare in advanced - the coinshare option will be on.
The Kalphite Queen uses all three attack styles, with a maximum hit of 314 each. The magic and ranged attacks have 100% accuracy, so praying against one of these is imperative - protect from magic is suggested. The attacks will also ricochet from player to player. Her melee attack is standard, and is affected by armour as normal.
The queen has two forms. Her first form has extremely high defence against ranged and magic, so using melee is the best idea. Once the first form has been killed, the second form will spawn - it has extremely high melee defence, so using ranged, magic, or verac's set is recommended. The second form also spawns a large number of kalphite workers, so turning autoretaliate off is wise.
