Strategy

The King Black Dragon is a fairly strong dragon, but as a boss he is fairly weak. As this is a mass, there will be a lot of people, so the danger is relatively low.

While the chance of being hit is low due to the number of people, if you are hit it can be for a lot if you don't have dragonfire protection. As such, you should be using one of these:

• Anti-dragon shield
• Dragonfire shield/ward/deflector (for the relevant combat style)
• Super antifire potions or a combination potion that contains it, like:
  • Searing overload
  • Overload salve
  • Supreme overload salve
• Antifire potions and protect from magic/deflect magic

The main goal of this trip is to get the last riders book drop, which is a 1/1000 chance. His other notable drops are dragon rider gloves, dragon rider boots, and the draconic visage.
