Ephedra[]
Hello! You know me, I hope. And I hope you know me as more than 'the oldest guy in the clan'.
Trusted - never been reported, muted, told off. Basically you're looking at a paragon of virtue.
Moderation and representation - I'm ranked in the clan chat and I think I have a deft touch there. I can keep things nice and ordered without yelling.
Game familiarity - This is a weakness in my application. Yes, I know the game. But let's be honest I'm mid-level and enjoy being mid-level. My strength in the ET wouldn't be tanking bosses. In fact, you don't want me in your massive dung party or boss fight, because I'd handicap you. But I've got plenty to offer and there are already members of the ET who can lead you all to the Kalphite King.
I'm on Skype all day every day, because of work. I can hang out in IRC almost every day, too. I'm available to help the ET in-game or in meetings for a good chunk of most evenings (UK time) and weekends.
I see this role as a great way for me to help the community. I'm a poor wikian - it's too close to the systems I use at work all day; similar but different is horrible to learn. I'm never interested in joining the latest party to 'rush some occults' (did I say it right?). But I love the way events get us together in-game. That's why I've been a donor in the past. This is something I can do.

Support - Ephedra has been a trusted, polite, and active user of RSW for quite a while. I'm confident that he'll handle increased responsibility within the community quite well.--Cheers,

Weak support - Yoda has summed up Ephedra's positive traits quite well. However it seems to me that lack of game knowledge - especially experience with bossing and minigames - is a serious handicap, as these two are two main areas the Events Team focuses on. Being a player interested in in-game meetings is a good thing, but not good enough alone. Nonetheless, the team could probably use some new members. 5-x Talk 12:16, June 19, 2014 (UTC)
Support - I've spoken to Ephedra about the events team, and I think he'd be a good addition to it. He is creative, comes up with ideas. While 5-x's point on lack of game experience is valid, I don't think it's much of a problem - there's many possible events that don't require high levels. Besides, rwojy was on the team for a while and his stats were similar to Ephedra's.

Response - It's good to see broad support, but if the team consensus would prefer to get someone on board with more levels and so forth, that'd be very understandable. If that's so I'd be happy to apply again in future and help in other ways until then. I certainly won't be offended, so everybody should feel free to comment even if mildly against. Support - Frankly, I like that Ephedra is a mid-level player. I understand we have a lot of high-level players who want combat events that are appropriate for them, but as Ephedra said, we have members who can organize those events already. There's a lot more to the game than just bossing, and I think Ephedra would be well suited to encouraging our low-to-mid-level players to participate in events.
