Though I've not been a member of RuneScape Wiki for any significant amount of time, I feel that I've already proved my dedication and loyalty to the wiki through the contributions I have already made. I intend in time to not only organize and contribute a great deal of usefull information to this wiki, but to also make this wiki more well known amongst the RuneScape players. I feel that the only way I can adequetly do these things is to be granted administrative rights. With these rights I intend to organize this wiki so that it is easy for first time users to navigate around the site and easily find the information they seek. I also intend to ensure that no person will get away with any vandalism. I intend to ensure that all information within this wiki is true and unbiased. Again, I feel that the only way to adequetly do these things is to be granted administrative rights. Thanks for you considerations.
JodoKast 02:36, 12 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I vote Yes. I like your contributions so far, and the Main Page looks great! I still haven't figured out how to do stuff like that. Hehe... Oddlyoko 19:51, 13 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I haven't been editing RuneScapeWiki long, I admit. But I am doing my best to add to the wiki. I know so much about Runescape, it's great being able to share that knowledge on this wiki. If I am accepted as an admin, I would work on things such as the Current Events page, the Community Portal page, and, of course, every single page I can possibly help with.
Oddlyoko 22:36, 28 Oct 2005 (UTC)

  • vote (Merovingian doesn't come by too often though) --X1011 22:06, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)
Well, seeing as how this community isn't infested with trolls or vandals, I'll be happy to give Oddlyoko sysop rights. :) --Merovingian 00:23, 8 Nov 2005 (UTC)

I haven't been here long, but I got more than 600 edits in less than a month. That's pretty cool. I just felt like putting myself here because it'd be cool to be one; in forums I always wanted to be a mod, and I think I can finally be one. Plus, if it helps, I do know a lot about RS, even classic, as I've played classic before RS2 even came out. --Richard1990 21:32, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Got my vote. I'll wait on Eucarya and X1011's votes (although I'm going to take a guess and say they'll likely say yes) Oddlyoko 19:32, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Yes from me --Eucarya 10:52, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
User Richard1990 is now a sysop as of 2:36am May 31st (UTC)

Although I've been here for a short amount of time, I created some articles and made some minor edits to a lot. I, for some reason, just like it here because people are so friendly. (in other words, the community is great) Rieke Hain also helped me with reverting 30 mass blanked pages last night (in PST). I have his recommendation here. Also, like Richard1990, I have been on RuneScape since RS Classic, if that helps. Thanks for your considerations. Huanghe63talk 15:12, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Notice: I am now withdrawing my bid for adminship. Huanghe63talk 03:21, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
I didn't see this before, you have my vote if you still want adminship, though try tackling some big articles - be braver! --Eucarya 07:26, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I just thought since nobody answered, everyone was saying no to me being admin. I do want to, sorry about the confusion. Huanghe63talk 04:08, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
I vote yes (Hungahe is nice and helpfull, and has made good cntributions) and think that this should be effective ASAP. Megalodon99 00:12, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Megalodon99. Sure is nice having somebody on :). Huanghe63talk 00:15, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Sysop'd, cause I vote yes too and it's been nearly a month. Oddlyoko 18:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Jard Y Dooku

I haven't been here long but my many years of RuneScape experience can greatly help the wiki. I can do major Bestiary work as I've always specialized on monster info. Hope you'll consider me! Jard Y Dooku 20:44, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Not yet - be braver and create some high quality large articles! (I am welcome to be overruled by people!) --Eucarya 23:18, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

While I am only on my 24th day of editing this wiki, I believe I have shown myselp to be a regular and helpful contributor with my almost 2000 edits already. Among my major contributions are the creation of many equipment pages, especially ranged items as they were lacking when I joined, the articles on crossbows and bolts, and the metal item template (with a lot of help from Hyenaste). I really enjoy helping out on this wiki and gathering so much information in one easy to use location. There is still so much more RuneScape information to be added here, and I want to help however I can, so please consider me for adminship. -- Couchpotato99 (talk) (contribs) 17:33, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I agree, you get my vote =) --Eucarya 17:59, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. Vimescarrot 20:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Sure, but only if and when you stop trying to be so controversial and opposing my edits in particular. Until then I am reluctant to see you added to the admin team. Shadowdancer 23:13, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Counter-vote. He has engaged me in an edit war. Shadowdancer 00:02, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
I believe I have the right to defend myself against this accusation, yes? The "edit war" mentioned occured on the Bolts page. Shadowdancer originally wrote a short stub article, and said that bolts are used by Crossbows with a link to the Crossbow article. I wrote an expanded version of this article and removed the link because the crossbow article is about a specific weapon, not all crossbows. Shadowdancer re-added the link. I changed the link to the non-existent crossbows page and put a note up on the talk page. Shadowdancer reverted my edits and declared that we were having an edit war. Determined not to sink to his level and possibly get blocked, I tried to discuss on the talk page. I asked shadowdancer to look at the crossbow page and see that that there were weapons besides that crossbow that used bolts (bronze crossbow, iron crossbow, etc.). In response, shadowdancer called me an imbecile and said that there must be links on that page to all the other crossbows, because he apparently had not looked at the article in question. I am still waiting to fix the page out of fear that he will block me if I edit the page again. He has not yet responded on the talk page. I hope that his biased accusations of my intentions towards this wiki do not change your vote or your opinion of me. -- Couchpotato99 (talk) (contribs) 01:02, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Whatever. You're not worth the energy of arguing with. Rewrite the article to be about cooking pancakes for all I care. Shadowdancer 01:06, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Not only does Couchpotato look to cross swords with me, he's making pointless stub articles such as Monk's robe (top) and Monk's robe (bottom) when those two could easily be made into one article on Monk's robes. But oh no, he wants "granularity". Shadowdancer 18:10, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
I vote yes, and this is an adminship nomination page, not a personal dispute page.Megalodon99 00:54, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
It's a vote page, and I've cast mine. If Couchpotato99 gets made admin based on his merits thus far, permanently block me. Shadowdancer 01:07, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Gets my vote, did I mean to place it at this indent level? Ace of Risk 22:02, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes from me! Huanghe63talk 22:34, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Pretty much has a handle on everything admins can do, so it would be giving the paintbrush to the artist. Woodcutting-iconHyenastetalk 22:38, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I feel he would make a great admin. His edits blow mine away, both in content and frequency. Cool Spy0 23:04, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Heck Yes. How come he is not an admin yet? he has more edits than everyone else including the guy who first started the wiki. He would be an amazing administrator. His edits are very good. Cbp 13 00:34, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Sysop'd. Sorry for the delay. *cough* Oddlyoko 17:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Oh, yeah, a few things. Shadow, you need to be a little less "conclusion-jumpy". You were the one edit war'ing to begin with. Then again, I can't say for sure because I haven't been around. Just, cool down a bit more. Please? Couch, he's right on one count, separate pages for each monks robe part is a bit pointless. A wiki user would usually want a single page where the information they need is right at hand, not a few pages they have to sort through. Granularity is good, up to a certain point. Then it just becomes annoying. ;) Oddlyoko 18:03, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

I would like to nominate Eucarya for adminship, simply for very good work and being very trustworthy (in my opinion). Oddlyoko 16:38, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I'm honoured, if Richard1990 and X1011 are ok with it =) --Eucarya 17:37, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
User Eucarya is now a sysop. Oddlyoko 00:33, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Seems to be doing great work, adminship would be a boon. --Eucarya 23:10, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, Eucarya. I'd welcome it with open arms. Hyenaste 18:38, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Sure, why not? Oddlyoko 18:42, 25 July 2006 (UTC) (I'll wait for a vote or two more)
Sysop'd! Oddlyoko 17:44, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Again, good work, we need people who understand wiki's here! --Eucarya 08:47, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

(Please note: I don't have either the knowledge (or the rights?) to upgrade anyone else to sysop. I know Oddlyoko can do it I think --Eucarya 08:47, 25 July 2006 (UTC) )

Thanks for the nomination. I believe all admins can make other accounts admin as well, but I'm not sure on that. Shadowdancer 14:45, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Nope, just bureaucrats, although 'crats can make other people 'crats too. Oh, and I vote a yes. :P Oddlyoko 18:42, 25 July 2006 (UTC) (Again, a vote or two more)
Sysop'd! Oddlyoko 17:43, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Seeing as we have two currently active admins, one of which uses his administrative powers infrequently, we could use another admin. Vimescarrot is a frequent contributor with an amiable personality. He would be able to use administrative powers well and fairly. -- Couchpotato99 (talk) (contribs) 18:37, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

We've got two more admins and two more 'crats now. I guess you don't need me. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 19:19, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
if you still want it, Support. Vimescarrot has done some good work, seems to be responsible, and acts very nice. Megalodon99 20:13, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Support--Eucarya 23:46, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Completely Support~Done a HUGE job with many of the articles. Amazing what one person can do... Huanghe63talk 00:40, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Er...What? Are you thinking of someone else? JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 08:34, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Vimescarrot now has sysop rights. --Eucarya 13:16, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Avian Maid

Doing good work - especially around the time of new updates which we need! Recommending for adminship so she can revert/move/block/etc. --Eucarya 19:29, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Um...I'm against sysopping people too early. I doubt anything like Shadowdancer would happen again, but we could end up with admins that leave after the novelty wears off if we admin them too quickly. So...No support, for now. Don't take it personally, she's been doing great stuff, but...She's not even been here a month... JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 19:46, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Lol, this is 'Requests' for adminship - I'm just nominating, I haven't made her an admin yet! What we should do on this page is get yay/nay votes from all common contributors, and of course, we need Avian Maid to want to become an admin too =-) --Eucarya 21:01, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
The other thing is that we seem to have high-user turnover here - What I'm (slightly) paranoid about is the wiki getting left with NO active admins at all. And we surely can't get another Shadow can we? That would be very very bad luck. --Eucarya 21:02, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I suppose you've got a point there. What I'm worried about is speedy admin nominations setting precedent for other, possibly less suitable candidates. We don't want people saying "Well, you sysopped Avian Maid after less than a month, and I've been here longer!". On the other hand, I guess if anyone does say that, we just say that behaving in such an immature way is unbecoming of an admin and as such...*brain pain* it's too late at night for me to carry on. You get the idea. Your clever argument has made me turn this into a Support. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 21:29, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Up to you guys depending on what you need. I'm just here to help. I know I haven't been around for that long. And really, with as open as the whole Wikia process is, I can do plenty without adminship. However, I can certainly say I would enjoy the chance to do more for this site's upkeep. -- Avian Maid 08:17, 3 October 2006 (UTC) PS: Honored for the nomination, just btw. :)
All adminship means is that you can revert easier, block if necessary, and protect if necessary. This is a democratic process so we'll need a few more yay votes before I make you an admin. --Eucarya 12:11, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't think there's anyone left to vote. I haven't seen any of the old regulars log on to RuneScape or make edits here in ages. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 19:41, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
On strength of contributions alone, she deserves it, I'm gonna go for it. I don't think many people look at this page.--Eucarya 22:47, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Doing a good job watching the logs and making some contributions too. Recommending for adminship so he can revert, block, etc. --Eucarya 13:16, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I will welcome this if I get it (and I won't get mad if I don't) Megalodon99 talk 13:36, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

I transferred this from when I asked for adminship earlier:

I have been here a while and think that I have proved my self worthy of admin responsibilities. I hope that if you reject me, please be nice when you vote no, and don't rub it in afterwords. Megalodon99 00:29, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Like Shadowdancer? Anyway, I vote yes. Excellent job! :) Huanghe63talk 00:40, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
please please please please... don't compare me to shadowdancer, and thanks for your confidence in me. Megalodon99 00:41, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
No, I meant this: "I hope that if you reject me, please be nice when you vote no, and don't rub it in afterwords." is like Shadowdancer. He does just that. Sorry for confusing you. Huanghe63talk 00:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
No...not yet. You haven't been around for all that long. Keep editing and ask again later, as long as you keep it up i'll be more than willing to change my mind :) P.S. It helps if you make a good impression when asking. That means, to me, capitalising your own name. :) Vimescarrot 15:32, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

Sure, why not. Certainly proved himself trustworthy. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 13:58, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Ok,Trustworthy, and someone who keeps an eye on the recent changes page for the slightest hint of vandalism. --Whiplash 21:56, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

Support - Agreed. Much positive work on the Wiki. -- Avian Maid 23:31, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Well I know I've only been here a little over 30 days, and haven't done many edits recently, except for welcomes, but here's why I think I should be an admin. In the first 30 days I had created over 225 articles, made lots of edits, and reverting edits, and helped out a bunch. Tell me what you think, Thanks. Dreadnought 00:48, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Yes you deserve it.--Whiplash 21:27, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

Support - keep up the great work Chrislee33 07:37, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Support - yes, sounds good. (If I don't hear any dissenting voices by wednesday, I'll sysop both Dreadnought and Megalodon). --Eucarya 09:11, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Support - Sure, like the number of new articles. Megalodon99 | Talk 12:38, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Support - Agreed. Been here a while and done lots. --Avian Maid 23:31, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Requests for Bureaucrat

Nominations for Bureaucrat

Hard worker, outstanding work, and great person. Oddlyoko 18:18, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Definitely. Since User:Merovingian doesn't hang around here anymore, we could use another b'crat. Woodcutting-iconHyenastetalk 05:08, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Agreed, even if this is a little late. I don't really know what a bureaucrat is, but I know Eucarya has put in a lot of effort into this wiki and seems to know what he is doing. -- Couchpotato99 (talk) (contribs) 01:30, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
Agreed, I think that Eucarya is doing a great job. Sorry if this is a little late. Megalodon99 13:59, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Agreed...Especially since Merovingian seems to have left us, and Oddlyoko hasn't edited since the ninth of August. Er...Is there anyone left to sysop Eucarya? O.o Vimescarrot 13:49, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
We can get a staff member (like sannse or Angela) to do it if need be. Euc's still away on his trip anyway so there's no rush. Woodcutting-iconHyenastetalk 20:39, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Bureaucrat'd. Sorry about the delay... Oddlyoko 17:56, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

The most active admin - at least at the moment - and...well...I don't really know what to write here. But we need more 'crats, since Oddlyoko and Merv aren't around any more we need a someone who is around a lot - Hyenaste is the most active admin around. Lots of good work, and good fun outside of the Wiki, too. Being a nice person has to help :) JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 18:06, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Support. Hyenaste is quite knowledgeable on the behind-the-scenes workings of a wiki, he's a hard worker, and has a great personality. He has acted fair-headed in my expereinces with him and appears frequently. It would be great to have him added to our b-crat team.
On another note, how long do we wait for Oddlyoko to come back before we ask a steward to make us another b-crat (most likely Hyenaste)? -- Couchpotato99 (talk) (contribs) 18:32, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Support Very hard worker, of course I say yes. Megalodon99 20:23, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
