Calechiam is one of our most level-headed administrators by far. He has displayed nothing but competence, integrity, and zeal in editing our beloved wiki. Caleb is an experienced, personable administrator who embodies many of the elements of the old wiki that have faded over he years. I believe I can sum my support of Caleb into one sentence: I cannot fathom an individual whom I trust more to be our wiki's newest bureaucrat with my retirement at the onset of the new year. I have no doubt that Caleb and Karlis will work well together, as our two active bureaucrats, to ensure our wiki's continued success and longevity.--

I, Calebchiam accept this nomination for bureaucratship. I understand that the only difference between bureaucratship and the administrative ability that I already have is that I am able to assign user rights. I understand that I may not, for any reason, delegate any form of adminship to any user who has not passed an appropriate RFA, RFB, or RFF. Lastly, I understand that the respective agreement in regards to standard adminship still applies. Signed, C.ChiamTalk.

Questions for the nominee

1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
As a sysop, I already participate in the usual administrative work, such as deletion and blocking of vandals, etc. Apart from these duties, should this nomination pass, I will also take on the duties of a bureaucrat in closing adminship requests and granting tools to users accordingly.

2. What are your best contributions to the RuneScape Wiki, and why?
To be honest, I can't actually say that I have any particular edits that I consider to be my best. I have contributed in various aspects of the Wiki, such as in counter-vandalism and in closing discussions, but regardless of which area in which the edits are made, the purpose still remains the same, which is to help and contribute. An edit is just an edit, so if it is beneficial to the Wiki as a whole (be it in the community or in our articles), I would consider it to be a good edit, which is all there is to it, in my opinion.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Well, I have been on the Wiki for about 2.5 years now, so unsurprisingly, I have indeed been in conflicts with other users, which has at times, caused me stress. This was mostly when I was still new to the Wiki however. The last major conflict I was involved in would have to be the conflict with User:Fruit.Smoothie, where I created a Yew Grove thread to get him blocked because I felt that he was a disruptive user to the community. I haven't really been stressed out by the going-ons in the Wiki for a long while now however. Nowadays, whenever I get into arguments or conflicts with other users, I keep in mind that despite our differences, we are all volunteers, and we are spending our time on the Wiki trying to make it a better place, community and encyclopedia. We may disagree on how we carry out certain things, but remembering that everyone here is only trying to help really negates any stress that one would get from heated debates.

Additional questions (asked by the community if necessary)

(Quick note:Caleb is currently overseas and may take a day or so to officially accept this nomination, depending on the internet connection.)

Discussion

Support - As nominator.--

Support - (Waits for Caleb to come and sign the above) I agree with Az on this nomination. As with the soon retirement of one of the current bureaucrats, we will have a need for another bureaucrat. Additional tools will help him in his everyday editing. Nothing more to say. Ryan PM 21:08, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I don't need to see Caleb's answers to the questions. I know that he is fully trustworthy and will make an excellent 'crat, carrying out his duties perfectly. Per Azaz. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 21:36, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I think that Calebchiam would be the perfect bureaucrat, to be completely honest. While we don't really need another crat, I don't think that one more would hurt anything.

Support - He is one of the most trustworthy and friendly administrators around currently. I am sure we can trust him with bureaucrat tools. 222 talk 01:35, December 19, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Great guy. Follows policies. ----クールネシトーク 02:45, December 19, 2010 (UTC)

Support - I'm sad to see Azaz retiring, but Caleb is an excellent choice to replace him. Andrew talk 06:35, December 19, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Even without answering the questions, you can pretty well guess how he would answer. I think he'd be a great Bureaucrat, Azaz summed it up pretty well. - [Pharos] 06:42, December 19, 2010 (UTC)

Support - We are losing a 'crat we need to gain one. He has all the necessary traits of a 'crat, trustworthy ect. Also he isn't extremely active on the yg, which I think is good for a 'crat and he also is great at determining consensus which again is necessary for a 'crat with determining rfa's. Support - From all I've seen him do, he is a good editor, and with how he answered those questions I trust him with the tools. User:TyA/sig 04:03, December 21, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Everyone else said it. I have no doubt that Caleb would be a great bureaucrat.  Tien  19:06, December 21, 2010 (UTC)

Support - Well. I'm sorry to see Azaz go. He's served us well, and given a very unique perspective. I enjoyed his essays immensely. In light of that. I think that Caleb will be a good replacement for him, and I wish the best of luck to both Azaz and Caleb! User:Haloolah123/Sig 05:20, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Strong support - I always have an argument to show issues with specific admins, such as some being too aggressive, or others being a total ass. However, this guy is just all round perfect. If I could of nommed any of the 70 or so admins we have, it would of been this guy. RSN: Warthog Rhys Talk Completionist's cape... Coming soon. 01:04, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

Support - As sad as it is to see Azaz leave, I have no doubts whatsoever that Caleb will do a fantastic job in his place. --Aburnett(Talk) 19:21, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

Support—Per Tienjt and others. Horsehead Talk 04:05, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Pending Caleb has said his time will become more limited in the immediate future and less will be available for the Wiki. As awesome as Caleb is, another b'crat that can't be here is as pointless as teats on a bull. Caleb, is your time going to be limited or not?--Degenret01 04:36, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, at the moment, it's currently my holiday period (it has been for the past two months or so). When school starts in a couple of weeks, my time will be limited since I will have more priorities, and I won't be able to spend as much time on the Wiki as I am now. Right now, I am around on the Wiki for 10 hours or so daily, but with school, I'll only be able to spend 1-2 hours on weekdays and more on the weekends. In terms of carrying out bureaucrat duties, it should be sufficient to close RfAs and grant tools, etc. It's basically the same as what I've been doing through 2009 and 2010. C.ChiamTalk 04:48, December 24, 2010 (UTC)
That is more than sufficient, thanks.--Degenret01 05:15, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Support I hate doing per others but his reasonableness, maturity, excellent judgment, and dedication to the wiki have all been mentioned already. So, per others then.--Degenret01 05:15, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Rather surprising candidate, I'd think somebody else, honestly, no. Also, I don't care if he will become a b'crat no matter what, I am simply stating my opinion. --中亚人/中亞人 (Chinasian/Jeffwang16) 跟我谈话 03:15, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

I believe the phrase "wtf" was invented for occasions like these.
