- Category:Speedy_move_candidates has left many red links, it is urgent that this be looked at. All, besides the Armadyl godsword special "Judgment" on over 100 welcome notices upon talk pages, have had their links changed to the proposed names. - Could an admin move/merge :File:Runescape controls emotes skillcape woodcutting.gif animation files to File:Woodcutting Emote.gif? Thanks. Template:Signatures/Bluesonic43 01:21, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- I've been trying to do this, but there's no option to move the file nor is there any content in the file page. Tien 01:22, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Just delete it, then move the new page? HaloTalk 01:29, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Tried that already. Didn't work. There's no option to delete the file page (the one with the long name) either, which is just weird. Tien 01:33, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually... wait a second. Tien 01:34, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- This is by far the most confusing and annoying thing I've tried to deal with in my whole wiki career. I have no idea what is going on. Tien 01:44, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Chain reaction, eh? This little problem keeps adding more administrators who want to know why/how to fix this. Template:Signatures/Bluesonic43 02:54, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

It ain't done, there's still no file history. FQPRWrwojy 02:55, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't see the file history as altogether important, the request was to move the image over. C.ChiamTalk 02:57, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Just for posterity (and Tien's time), and my opinion, this is notable. Also, even thouugh Forum:Deleting old images didn't receive consensus, it should be noted that history is important. Template:Signatures/Bluesonic43 02:59, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
What are these links/templates for? Are they redirects to some gold-advertising site, or are they necessary? My thought is that it's some sort of obscure "clickbomb" type thing where it's basically a hidden meta-function that generates more attention in Google search engines or Pageranking. Seems to have no function when tested in a sandbox, other than some link to another Wiki in a foreign language.
Is it best to delete or keep? Fruit.Smoothie 04:15, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- I believe they are just links to pages of wikia in other languages. HaloTalk 04:21, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, they're interlanguage links. The language in the example you gave is Estonian. @Gaz#7521 18:09, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- So....should we keep 'em? Fruit.Smoothie 21:50, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Of course. It helps our editors who speak do not speak English as a first language, and it helps the other-language RuneScape wikis develop. No reason whatsoever to remove them. @Gaz#7521 22:15, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
#Expr function help?
Hi, I'm having trouble updating the trivia section and Christmas cracker. What I'm trying to do is make the first point more accurate in that it will automatically update when the GE price for the Christmas cracker updates. Currently it looks like this:
“ | *In theory, if so many existed, the maximum amount of wealth a player could have by owning 2,147,483,647 Christmas crackers would be 4,611,686,014,132,420,609 gp. | ” |
After using the #expr function, I would imagine it should look something like this:
*In theory, if so many existed, the maximum amount of wealth a player could have by owning 2,147,483,647 Christmas crackers would be {{#expr:2147483647*{{GEPrice|Christmas cracker}}}} gp.
When I preview this, the following error message comes up: Expression error: Unrecognised punctuation character ","
Why? I've went to the Christmas cracker exchange page and removed the commas. Why am I still getting this error message? Please and thanks for your help. User:Lil diriz 77/Signatures 06:01, May 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Eh,
{{GEprice}}
has commas automatically. To remove them, use {{GEPrice|Christmas cracker|n}}. Anyway it doesn't matter, as the number is too large and therefore is expressed in scientific notation: 4.6116860141324E+18, and I don't think it can be forced to expand it. XJWPrwojy 06:20, May 3, 2010 (UTC)
On MediaWiki:Functions.js, the line that reads
try { return decodeURI(matches[1]); }
should read
try { return decodeURIComponent(matches[1]); }

Question: Would anyone happen to know why the "Add category" button doesn't show up on files in the File: namespace? It shows up when in edit mode, but when simply looking at the page, it seems to have disappeared.
The button is still shown on mainspace articles, example at "Zaros", however, it is not shown on file articles, example at File:Zaros speaks.PNG.
Purging the page does nothing. Is there any way to make the button show up again? User:Lil diriz 77/Signatures 05:30, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
- I have a feeling it only shows up on mainspace pages, though I might have that mixed up with something else... @Gaz#7521 12:18, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
Could someone please change Template:ExchangeItem to use {{GEMWHelp}} instead of {{ExchangeItemHelp}}? This is per Forum:Reforming_GEMW_instruction_templates. Thanks. This can be archived after. Please leave a message on my talk page once this has been done. User:Lil diriz 77/Signatures 00:18, May 7, 2010 (UTC)
