Trouble with #expr :(
I have this:
{{#expr:{{GEP|Plain pizza}}-({{GEP|Cheese}}+{{GEP|Pizza base}}+{{GEP|Tomato}})/143 round 0}}
It is supposed to get the price of a plain pizza (702) minus the prices of Cheese (204), Pizza base (276) and tomato (728) together, then divide that by 143 and remove all the digits after the decimal point. So can anyone see anything wrong with that code? Cause it returns 694 which is obviously incorrect.

- I forgot to say that just adding/minusing without dividing gives -506.

- You need them because otherwise the arithmetic would work like this: Cheese+Pizza base+Tomato divided by 143 and then the plain pizza algorithm would be worked out last. i.e.
- Cheese+Pizza base+Tomato
- "The above" divided by 143
- Then finally Plain pizza - "the above"

If the price of the item is over 1000, you MUST do {{GEP|item|n}}. If you don't add the n, it will display the price with a comma, which will not work in expr parsers. http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu33/Psycho_Robot/Sigs%20and%20Avatars/kitty.pngPsycho Robot talk 03:10, September 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Now who's the nubcake, looking at Template:GEP, there is no unnamed parameter 2, and that "|n" does nothing!!! Nothing!!! Evil1888 Talk A's L 03:25, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Notification of changes to RuneScape:Off-site/RuneHead
Is there a way a bot or something could leave me a message on my talk page any time RuneScape:Off-site/RuneHead is changed? That will allow me to keep up with updating the name changes as people post them.--Degenret01 12:25, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Can't you just follow the page? 222 talk 00:43, September 4, 2010 (UTC)
- I sure can. And it doesn't do me a bit of good since I look at followed pages once am month maybe. We may get a change once a week, or maybe once a month. I want a way to stay on top of it without wasting time.--Degenret01 20:07, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Change of habit would be nigh impossible. How hard is a script?--Degenret01 08:39, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Do you actually use your watchlist? If not you can unfollow everything, follow just the RuneHead page (and a select few pages that you never check on your own) and then use Quarenon's watchlist notifier. It puts a message on the top of the page whenever a page on your watchlist is changed. Its not useful if you have dozens of pages on it, but if you only have a few important ones like I do, its really useful. You can find it listed here. http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu33/Psycho_Robot/Sigs%20and%20Avatars/kitty.pngPsycho Robot talk 08:47, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
- That script is really useful. But the only down-side is that it leaves a message regardless if it's new or not. 222 talk 10:19, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
- No, if you go to your watchlist and click the link of the changed page, the message will disappear. Evil1888 Talk A's L 10:33, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, actually. I know it happens; every new page I go to will still display a message regardless of whether it is new or not. 222 talk 10:37, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Can anyone see why this doesn't work? It doesn't change when you purge\re-fresh.

Signature sorting
How big a deal is the sorting of signature pages in Category:Signatures? For example, the following pages are sorted as "Sig" rather than as their respective usernames.
- User:C Teng/sig
- User:Coaster4321/Sig
- User:Ajraddatz/sig
- User:Bryanqwert/sig
- User:Ssswizmig/Sig
- User:Dave Lopo/Sig
- User:Wargodnavkri/Sig
- User:Haloolah123/Sig
- User:Kuma3/sig
I noticed the error in my own signature and updated Runescape:Signatures so other people don't make the same mistake. Then I noticed that other people had already made similar errors like the ones above. Then I noticed still other people seem to have made other errors. So, as I asked to begin, how big a deal is it? It could be a lot of bookkeeping work; plus it could be a bit intrusive. Suggestions? --User:Saftzie/Signature 14:26, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
JustNot that big, categories are just nice for finding stuff, just go to the pages and replace {{SUBPAGENAME}} with {{BASEPAGENAME}}. Easy as that. Evil1888 Talk A's L 00:53, September 7, 2010 (UTC)- I haven't carefully audited all 1000 or so. The ones above were a partial list. I did a few others, too, of what were easiest to find. Hopefully no one feels like toes got squashed. --User:Saftzie/Signature 01:31, September 7, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh crud... meant to say "Not that big", Idk where "just" came from . But fixing them is still nice. Evil1888 Talk A's L 05:55, September 7, 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. I only picked the lowest-hanging fruit. I noticed you did some of the ones above. Interestingly, working from a snapshot of the category page, I noticed a few people fixed their own before I got to them, too. Anyway, I don't intend to touch any others. --User:Saftzie/Signature 12:14, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Bot
If I wanted to make a fully-automated bot account, will I have to make a new AWB bot account? And what would it be called? 222 talk 06:24, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Uh... You would have to go though a YG discussion on the tasks that the bot would perform and when but I don't think you would need to make another account other than BrainBot. Evil1888 Talk A's L 06:35, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
Multiple accounts + Req AWB bot flag
Hey there, I've been temporarly locked out of my main account, User:Matthew2602, and have been using my bot account, User:M2602Bot. Though it occured to me this morning, "Hey, don't we have a policy on having two accounts?". So do we? And am I allowed to use this account?
Also, my AWB recently got activated. If you want to edit rapidly with AWB, you have to get a second account, and request bot flag for it here. Now because I have nothin to do cause I got locked out of my main account, I thought I could work on stuff in AWB with my bot. I'd have to get it flagged. So my question is, can I request bot flag at RuneScape:AutoWikiBrowser/Requests while I'm in my bot account? M2602Bot 22:45, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- "locked out of my main account" Why? Evil1888 Talk A's L 22:57, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Contact Wikia and ask them to send a randomly generated password to the email address of your main account, assuming you can still access that.

- Oh about the questions, until you have been identified as User:Matthew2602's bot account you are treated as a normal user and since you have not been id'd as his/your/whatever bot account by Matthew2602 you can go about the day and edit like any other user who is <24 hours old. But if you vandalise, we will kill you . Evil1888 Talk A's L 23:22, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

- To answer your question about "not allowing two accounts", see RS:SP. If multiple accounts are used to unfairly influence discussions, then it's a permban for both of them (well, at least that's what I would do). However, I think in your situation RS:UCS applies. Also note that on RS:RFAWB, I purposely added the note that one forfeits his rights to participate in discussions on the bot account to the agreement, though I don't think you've signed it yet. Otherwise, I'd say that multiple accounts are allowed only if they're used for purposes determined valid by consensus, namely bots and AWB. All other non-main accounts should be permblocked. --LiquidTalk 23:43, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
