Wikifest: Summer 2009 !!!

August 1st, 2009

Wiki Administrator Bonziiznob will be the Summer Wikifest MC. Please direct all attention to him during the fest to avoid possible confusion or misunderstanding and to look for further instructions or changes during the course of the event. His RuneScape Username is Larchelondon

Information

This year's Summer WikiFest has arrived! As with the last WikiFest, there will be all day events plus the main scheduled events.
Some important info:

• The fest will be held on world 29, the official free-to-play WikiWorld
• The clan chat to be in is rswikia, the official fest clan chat
• The main scheduled events are entirely free-to-play, so equip any member's objects before going to world 29

Main Events

This fest's main event will begin at 20:00 UTC, on August 1st, 2009. Its schedule is as follows:

The Summer Wikifest Event Schedule

Time (GMT/UTC)	Events	Leaders of Events
20:00 - 20:20	Log on to World 29. Get costumes ready, general preparation, etc, and make your way to Mudskipper Point. Players are asked to join the Official Clan Chat: rswikia.	Bonziiznob & Mo 55 55
20:20 - 20:35	Costume Competition - Players will proceed to the Wizard Tower Bridge to begin the Costume Competition. Fest Moderators Bonziiznob and Mo 55 55 will be the costume judges. To help control the large audience and to better coordinate the judging, and to eliminate potential bias of one user, Bonziiznob and Mo 55 55 will select 3 users each from the audience resulting in 6 users in total. At that point it will become you the crowd to determine which users will proceed to the final 3 and again which users will place in first, second and third. A prize of 10k will be issued to the winner of the costume competition (given by Bonziiznob)	Bonziiznob, Mo 55 55
20:35 - 20:50	Hide and Seek: Falador - Users will proceed to Falador from Wizards Tower for a game of Hide and Seek. Sir Scizor1 will hide by first turning all form of chat off and logging out and hiding in another world of his choice. Before logging back into the fest world he will PM Bonziiznob to let him know he has hidden at which point users are then free to begin their search. They may travel to Falador by any means. The first user to find Sir Scizor1 and trade him will be the winner. A prize of 10k will be issued to the winner of the Hide and Seek: Falador.	Bonziiznob & Sir Scizor1
20:50 - 21:10	Raid on Barbarian Village and Cabbage Patch Chaos - Users are than to proceed to Barbarian Village where we will raid the local village and confuse the other players by our mass numbers. Users are free to do as they wish here. At 21:00 users will proceed then to the Cabbage Patch located directly above Port Sarim. It will then become the goal of all users involved in the fest to gather all the cabbages in the field. However, all fest moderators will be also picking up cabbages and periodically dropping them. The goal is to clear the patch as fast as possible.	All Fest Moderators
21:10 - 21:30	Hide and Seek: Varrock - Users will proceed to Varrock. Following the same format as above, Bonziiznob will hide and announce in the clan chat when the search may begin. The first user to find Bonziiznob and trade him will be the winner. Afterwards Bonziiznob will hide a second time and again the search will begin when announced in the clan chat. A prize of 10k will be issued to the winner of the first round and 10k to the winner the second time, however should the same user find Bonziiznob for both occasions they will receive an additional 100k payable in installments of 15 minutes. 21:30 - 22:10	Fist of Guthix - Users will bank in Varrock and proceed to Fist of Guthix for 40 minutes of wonderful fun. Users are free to play this game as they wish. Skillers/pures are warned that this minigame will raise combat level. Please do not leave the game while in the arena.	All Fest Moderators
22:10 - 23:00	Clan Wars - Users will then proceed to Clan Wars where they may engage is any form of group they want. Please note: The RuneScape Wiki is not responsible for items lost while traveling in the wilderness or lost during games. The fest will end here for user wishing not proceed to the Volcano. Another good idea if scared is to bank all of their items, except for 3. Remember to bring food with you!	All Fest Moderators
23:00+	Wilderness Survival: Volcano Raid - Users wishing to do so may conclude the Wikifest by venturing out into the wilderness to visit the volcano. Users are free at this point to do as they please. Users wishing to do the wilderness but not the volcano are also recommended to engage in some group slayings of Green Dragons on World 28 (official members Wiki world).	All Fest Moderators
