I have created this project page to hammer out procedures for blocking troublesome users. I think that we should list what warrants a block and how long each block should last, in the case of recurring offenders. Shadowdancer 19:41, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- Blanking of pages
- Vulgar remarks are being posted
- Gibberish/nonsense
- The language is being changed from English
- False or deceptive information is being added to an article
- Personal attacks upon any user
- Content which advocates breaking of Jagex's 15 game rules
- Advertising in any form (aside from websites listed under "External Links")
We probably won't have to block anyone except due to vandalism, so here is the current list from RS:CVU. Now, to decide which rules get which punishments.

Block & Recurring Offenders[]
Since vandalism is the most likely reason to block someone, I think we should determine what each offense and block warrants. I propose:
- First offence: 2 hours
- Second offence: 1 day
- Third offence: 7 days
- Fourth offence: 1 month
- Fifth offence: 1 year
And when we block someone, we make a formal entry on their talk page, such as: [Username], you have been blocked from editing RuneScape Wiki due to your recent vandalism. Because this is your [first, second, third, whatever] offence, the duration of this block is [duration]. Shadowdancer 19:50, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- And this would be for conventional vandalism. Violent personal attacks or severe vandalism would naturally result in longer blocks. We also need a nice template that is your example above.

- Anyone know whats going on here? This policy doesn't seem to be followed. I assume this template was made at [[Template:Vandal]]. Also, what are Template:Test1, Template:Test2, Template:Test3, Template:Test4, and Template:Test5? Should they be deleted? -- Couchpotato99 (talk) (contribs) 00:36, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
