Almost got a cool line of ppl following but everyone was moving too fast :( --Henneyj 21:40, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

Anyway, I enjoyed the event. I'll try and give some thorough feedback. The start was well managed, don't think we were waiting too long or anything. The falling in and the faruq trading was a little awkward but that's somewhat inevitable. The al kharid gate and the insufficient supply of cabbages slowed us somewhat but both were quite humorous. The cabbage bombing was good, once again not waiting too long. The race was probably the most problematic part, with some confusion and waiting round here. Communication could have been better at the start, and would have reduced the effect of the mild trolling. I myself didn't realise that the person should be traded at the finish, and I think it took people a while to get exactly what was going on/what to do. I'm also pretty sure that the racing boots weren't used to effectively manage the start. Some of the waiting might have been reduced by having someone set up the next route in advance, although this does depend on the people available to do so. The race was probably the main part of the event that could have been done better. However, The prizes seemed to be awarded fairly, and I think that aspect was well managed (moderators checking for cheating, etc). The drop party was great - people putting crap in the chest wasn't too much of a problem, the prize was attention grabbing enough, and kudos for the rune items - it worked well especially with the number of people (I personally ended up with 400k worth of stuff, after putting 100k in the chest. Yay!). Bit of shame fog was missed but made sense given the time; not the best group activity anyway. The clan wars was a good way to end the event, even if you'd it took ages to kill someone. Despite the slow combat it was quite nice to have a more level playing field compared to members. And so ends my long, possibly unnecessary review of somewhat obvious observations from the Wikifest. If you've made it this far into my comment, well done - aren't you glad I didn't add any neat paragraphing? Much love Wikians, --Henneyj 01:01, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
No, next time please split that into paragraphs, my focus keeps slipping to the wrong line.
The Wikifest looks so awesome, it is a real shame that I can't come (3 a.m. my time). --Void Knight 04:24, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
A great event my first wikifest! (see if you can spot me, investigators outfit, magnifying glass, amulet of glory (t), blue cape and swanky boots). I would love to do it again! Dark lord911 18:07, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

Planning[]

Next year could it not be on a holiday? Lol ɳex undique 06:41, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

Doesn't seem to be a significant holiday for the majority of our audience, unless I'm very much mistaken. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 15:16, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
This year it fell on Yom Kippur. Jewish holdidays switch days every year, but I meant it as, if it were to fall on something like that again, if it could be moved. I don't speak my thoughts clearly at 3 AM :P ɳex undique 17:27, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
