I was very happy with how the event was managed. We managed to get a Bandos Chestplate (I am now 1m richer! :D), and even though I died, my gravestone was promptly blessed like they said they would, so I could take my time getting back. Great event! Smartys 23:03, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
The event went very smoothly from start to finish. We started off at 6pm BST in the events friend's chat to discuss some questions and sort out how the mechanisms of godwars work and how people should prepare with inventories and equipment. After giving these guys some info, we slowly built up outside the bandos room, all prepared with our kill counts. The event itself started at around 7:15pm BST after we waited for Fergie to join us. We questioned all the participants and it was in their best interest to split the 50 man turn up into two groups: Team fergie and Team hog.
From my point of view in team hog, we started off pretty slowly with crashers straight off the bat within 5 or so kills, but this wasn't a massive issue since we waited on them to run out of Special attack restores. Whilst we attempted to fight these crashers, we received a 7182gp split for a Godsword shard 2. At this point, I needed to go for around 10 to 15 minutes to answer a promise I made to a friend in real life. Shortly after I got back, we received our second drop of the night being a 12068gp split for a pair of Bandos boots, this lifted morale since the crashers were still here. Two kills later, the highlight of the night happened with a split of 1038010gp (1 Million) for a Bandos chestplate. This shortly provoked the crashers into leaving.
The rest of the night, we battled through three more waves of crashers, all of which relied on special attack restores which eventually ran out and allowed us to prevail. I know from talking, Fergie's team also got two splits, being a Bandos hilt for around 250k and a Godsword shard 3 for around 7-8k. At approx. 9:30pm, the decision was made to merge both of our teams together since Fergie's had been heavily crashed, and my team was slowly losing numbers too. This lead us through the rest of the night which produced no drops.
