The Salve eel is a piece of food found in the Dungeoneering skill. The Salve eel heals 200 Life Points. It is a tier 8 fish. 70 Fishing is required to catch the raw fish, and 70 Cooking is required to cook it, although, you will burn a lot unless you cook it on a fire or range made with tier 8 (corpsethorn) branches or better. It can be combined with a baked cave potato to create a salve eel potato, which will heal 230 life points. This is the third highest leveled food that could be found on the supplies table near the Smuggler, and it is also the highest-leveled food that can be dropped by monsters within Daemonheim.
Despite being one of the higher varieties of food available in Daemonheim, they are fairly commonly dropped by various monsters. This makes them excellent staple food, essentially the equivalent of Sharks in Gielinor.
