Sealed clue scroll (master) is part of the Treasure Trails Distractions and Diversion. Opening one will turn it into an active clue scroll (master).
Master clue scrolls are obtainable from any source that can provide an elite clue scroll (high-level boss encounters, Slayer monsters, completing other clues, level 60+ Mining, Woodcutting, Fishing, and Divination, and crystal triskelions). They can also be obtained as a reward from all tiers of Treasure Trail caskets.
- There is always a 1% chance for a sealed elite clue to upgrade to a sealed master clue.
- If the quest Pieces of Hate is completed, the skeletal horror's chance of dropping a master increases from 1% to 1/12 (roughly 8.33%)
- Elite clues from the Prosper perk have the same 1% chance of upgrading to a master clue as any other elite clue.
Players are able to hold a soft cap of 25 of each tier of sealed clue scroll.
