The Skeletons in Melzar's Maze are the result of Melzar the Mad's attempts to revive those that died on Elvarg's attack on Crandor. While he was successful in reanimating their bones, they are mindless, having none of their original personality.

They are found on the Second floor, and are encountered during the Dragon Slayer quest. One of the skeletons, which can be identified by its round shield, drops the key required to progress down to the basement, home of the Zombies.
