The equipment tables below are recommended equipment setups for each style to use in slayer. It also serves as a good basis to choose equipment for bossing. The main factors used to determine the recommended pieces of equipment for each tier were utility, cost and requirements. Hence, Anima Core helms are not included due to their high upfront cost in comparison to headgear in the same tier such as Nex and Ancient Warrior's. Likewise, shadow glaives are recommended over Death Lotus darts as they do not require access to Player-owned ports, and the additional accuracy is more versatile for bosses.

Tank armour has been intentionally omitted from the table because it does not offer any offensive bonuses. Despite having high armour values, the lack of offensive bonuses from tank armour leads to a loss in kills per hour for the majority of slayer monsters. The offensive bonuses derived from power armour does in fact usually lead to a reduction in damage taken per kill, as faster kills result in monsters having less attacks with which to deal damage. The offensive bonuses can also substantially increase healing received from Soul Split and Sacrifice.

An important note regarding gear upgrades is that weapon upgrades should be prioritised over armour upgrades. Upgrading a weapon tier will increase damage dealt(and therefore a reduction in damage taken per kill) far more than an equivalent armour tier upgrade. A player using a Noxious staff with Robes of subjugation will perform better than a player using Obliteration with Virtus equipment.

The most effective method for each slayer monster is detailed on their individual strategy page. It is recommended to have a look at the strategies outlined for each monster, as this will help players decide which styles and equipment to bring, in addition to niche items useful for that particular monster.

Recommended Setup[]

Note: Several higher level equipment have been intentionally omitted due to high maintenance costs and may not be worth using. Players may opt to use them at their own will.
