Soul esswraiths are creatures found on floor three of the Runespan. They can be siphoned for soul runes, requiring 90 Runecrafting and one rune essence, and giving one soul rune, 106.5 Runecrafting experience and 3.5 runespan points for a successful siphon. An unsuccessful siphon will give no runes, consume no essence, and occasionally give 1-2 experience.

When the esswraith expires, you will see the message "You pick up the essence left by the creature.", and will receive 50 rune essence for use in the Runespan.

Soul esswraiths can also be "chipped" for rune essence. By using 10 blood runes on the esswraith, you will receive 10-20 rune essence. However, the same esswraith cannot be chipped twice in a row; you can't chip the same creature until you have chipped three other Runespan creatures of any type.

Location

Soul esswraiths can be found on platforms 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 29, 30 and 32 of the upper floor. On platform 32, there are two soul esswraiths.
