The South-east Ardougne mining site can be found south of East Ardougne and east of the Clock Tower near the Kandarin monastery. It contains 4 coal rocks and 6 iron rocks which form a channel leading to the monastery door.

The mine can be useful for mining the resources for steel bars, as there is a furnace in East Ardougne.

The closest bank is the southern bank in Ardougne, although this is several clicks on the mini-map away. If you are using a summoning familiar (such as an Obsidian golem), the nearest summoning obelisk is next to the fight arena, which is a slight detour from the Port Khazard bank deposit box. This provides a very good alternative to the Ardougne bank. In addition, there is a farming patch nearby as well a fairy ring (Code DJP) to the east. Ardougne southern mine is a possible crash landing site for Shooting stars.

Players who have the Ardougne cloak 1 and a Ring of Kinship have quick banking when using this mine. They use the cloak to teleport to the monastery, mine the iron and coal outside the building, use the ring to teleport to the bank chest at Daemonheim, and then repeat. Depending upon how fast the coal rocks regenerate, each trip can yield 8-12 coal plus iron.
