Spices are trade goods earned as a reward from the player-owned ports minigame. They are used in the creation of Eastern soups: rocktail soup and sailfish soup. Spices can be a reward from completing the assassin storyline and through specific voyages or standard voyages.
The maximum amount of spices a player can store at one time is 250. Any successful voyages after this will not increase the total.
Players may also buy individual units in the form of ports spice packs from Boni on Waiko after the quest Impressing the Locals. These cost 1 taijitu and 350 chimes each, and are the only way to obtain them outside of player-owned ports.
