Not to be confused with the Spirit seed.

Spirit weed seeds may be used to grow grimy spirit weed by players with a farming level of 36 or higher by planting it in a herb patch.

The growth time for herbs is 80 minutes.

Spirit weed seeds may be obtained from monster drops. Jagex has stated that Master farmers cannot be pickpocketed for these seeds. They can also be found in bird's nests.

They peaked at 40,000 coins when they were first released with the Summoning skill update on 15 January 2008, but dropped sharply to 341 - 347 coins due to low demand.

They give 32 experience when planted, and 36 experience for each herb gotten from the patch.

Also, unlike normal seeds which say "___ seed, for planting in a ____ patch" when examined, the spirit weed seed just says "a seed for spirit weed".
