Steel bolts (p+) are poisoned steel bolts. They are received as a drop from monsters in Tarn's Lair. Attempting add these bolts to a Tirannwn quiver or bolt pouch, or equip these bolts, causes them to automatically convert to steel bolts within the player's inventory as a cleaning cloth would. These bolts are classified as level 31 within the player's inventory, with no accuracy or damage visible.

These bolts cannot be dropped once picked up; they are converted to unpoisoned bolts upon trying to do so. They can, however, be banked.
