The number of clones that appear are scaled on the amount of players in the arena on a ratio of approximately 10:1. Stone clones copy the name of the player that they have; for example, if a player's name is Player22145, the Stone clone's name will be Stone Player22145.

[FAQ] [doc]

Stone clones are one of Vorago's minions that he summons to fight on the penultimate phase. He creates them by cloning players fighting him, and as such they gain their stats. These clones appear only during phase four and right after Vorago's waterfall attack. The number of clones that appear are scaled on the amount of players in the arena on a ratio of approximately 10:1. Stone clones copy the name of the player that they have; for example, if a player's name is Player22145, the Stone clone's name will be Stone Player22145.

While all of the stone clones are alive, Vorago will take one tenth of the damage that he would have been dealt with. Players who did not have a stone clone when they appeared cannot attack other stone clones. However, if a player did get a stone clone and killed it, they can kill, if any, other stone clones that are still on the field.

Along with Wilderness Warband bandits, units from World events, and Elves in Prifddinas (with a few more exceptions), they are the only monsters to use abilities.

They use the same combat style of the weapon their target is wielding upon creation. They will also use respective abilities from that type of weapon, and can also use defensive abilities. The clone's weakness depends on the attack style it uses - melee clones are weak to fire spells, ranged clones to slashing weapons, and magic clones to arrows.

Trivia

  • They first appeared in the RuneScape Bestiary one or two weeks before their actual release, although trying to view them crashed the bestiary.
  • Stone clones use the old death animation rather than the new death animation. They share this trait with NPCs from Wilderness Warbands.
