Sumona is a non-player character found in the north of Pollnivneach, near the Magic carpet transport spot. Talk to Sumona to begin the Smoking Kills quest.
After players complete the quest, Sumona reveals herself to be a new Slayer master. She also explains about the Slayer reward points obtained for each slayer assignment completed. She gives 12 points for each task, 60 points for every 10th task, and 180 for every 50th task completed.
On the interface for NPC Contact, her skin is lighter and her hair is blonde.
Jesmona
Jesmona is supposed to be the twin sister of Sumona. However, after the Smoking Kills quest, players learn that there is no such person called Jesmona, and that Sumona and Jesmona are one and the same. This is revealed by Catolax in the Desert Slayer Dungeon, after the quest in the final cutscene. He further explains that Sumona and Jesmona are, in fact, a manifestation of Amascut, the Devourer. However, due to the fact that during the quest Amascut promised the player a reward, she is forced to act as a new slayer master after the quest is complete. (It is also possible she is simply sending the player on slayer assignments in further attempts to get the player killed. Slayer assignments may also be win/win for her as the player slaying causes destruction, and the player dying gets her revenge.)

Trivia
- When you ask Sumona, "I have some questions about your sister and the smoky dungeons," Sumona responds at one point saying, "Am I my sister's keeper?". This is referring to the Biblical story of Cain and Abel, when Cain says "Am I my brother's keeper?" when God asks him where Abel had gone. (As it happens, Cain murdered Abel)
- It is impossible to move the curtains (which act as the door) in her house, the message which appears while trying to do so says that a mystical force keeps them from moving, and Sumona gives a "knowing smirk".(it gives this message even if the player has not started Smoking Kills; She is then not even present in the building)
- Sumona likes to add small comments after her message if you ask for tips e.g. fire giants she claims they "tell tales of your weakness" or after assigning banshees she says you should help and silence their annoying cries.
- You can't see Sumona unless you have the required skills (not combat level) for doing it, however, if you don't, once you speak to her using the NPC Contact spell, you will be able to see her even when you don't have enough combat level or skills for the quest.
- The Slayer master Lapalok was for some time called "Disciple of the Devourer". Interestingly, her disciple has a higher position as a Slayer master than herself. However, with Sumona being incognito it would make sense that she put an underling in a higher position so as to further protect her true identity.
