Proof, once again? Who continues to create this page, when Jagex has not posted any news on the front page? Also, if it is true, images? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Krintask (talk).
- Right, as the creator of this page, I'll confirm this (sorta). Just go to the Lumbridge Castle basement and you'll see the Holiday event icon. Why Jagex has not announced this on the front page is beyond me, but you can go ahead and see for yourself. C.ChiamTalk 11:23, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

More content to the event?[]
Mod Nexus stated in response to many outraged comments of players on the forums that "There will be more info on Thanksgiving later this week and a fairly substantial update next week". More info suggests that there is more to the Thanksgiving just that the information has yet to be found. Does this suggest that there is more content than simply just killing the turkeys in the field? -Mr KindHeart 11:47, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
- I hope so. I wanted to pick up my Raw Turkey but the Cook's Brother wouldn't let me, stating "We'll worry about that later", which naturally means "Leave it, you're not coming back for it."

- Okay, so it's been confirmed multiple times by Mod Nexus and Mod Emilee on the forums that there *is* more content it just hasn't been released yet - so I wouldn't despair just yet. Mr KindHeart 12:40, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
- Lol whats it going to be this time? Zombie turkeys looking for revenge? I was rather disaponted from this event, the only thing I got was a emote??!! (Wow I get to turn into a turkey big deal). And the overall quest really dosen't have any special about it, like Kindheart said "Just killing turkeys in a field"The Halloween quest is way better and actully kept me entertained. I'd really like to see what part 2 has in stored.

Hey guys, look at this thread. Not sure if he's telling the truth, but I'm reaaaally curious. C.ChiamTalk 15:04, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

- Since it is a new event, it tends to get alot of attention. However, we should allow anyone to edit since there is a bunch of new information out there.

Thanksgiving Event Part 2[]
I think the items for the second part of the thanksgiving event are: 3 ropes, 2 buckets, and 5 UNTANNED cowhides. With those in your inventory speak to Lactopher, he can be found near Lumridge Castle, the the east. Thanks, Ancient Blades 14:16, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Actually I think its 3 shrimps. Not very sure about the other 2 though. --Nup(T) 14:17, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
It is five bananas...
actually I have just done the 2nd part and I can confirm it is 2 buckets of milk, 7 bait, 227gp and 4 hammers, I can sort see the clue items hints but they're not exactly clear and as for the numbers, no idea, it's stupid, Prime
Releasing solutions[]
PS: Please don't post spoilers or solutions on the forums - make sure everyone has the fun of solving these puzzles. If you're stuck, check out our help session information here: Clue Fest Support Group.
Jagex Mods have requested that players let others have the fun of figuring out the clues themselves rather than spoil it for them by giving them the solutions. Now I know that we are not Jagex, but I'm not entirely opposed to the idea of not releasing the solutions on the article. I've already solved the clue for today myself, and think the event would be more enjoyable if the players figured it out themselves, what do you guys think? C.ChiamTalk 14:21, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Layout Modifcation[]
I took a bit of time to remake the layout and add the community events that Jagex has going on. This might have interfered with other edits prior to me adding it, because it took about 30 minutes to compile everything. Bowler225 17:00, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

ok..why 2? guz..Lachtopher allready thold NPC clue.
i am just wondering.
Second clue items[]
1) 2 buckets of milk 2) 7 fishing bait 3) 227 coins 4) 4 hammers
Trivia Contradiction[]
- The highest hit is 199 and cannot exceed this, no matter how much strength boosting items are used. All players, regardless of their combat level or worn equipment, have the potential to hit 199.
- Void Knight armor allows the player to hit over 200 damage with the boost it gives.
which one is true? Axearmour1 01:56, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
I believe that 199 is indeed the max...--Br3tt0wnz 00:13, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Another thing[]
There must not be any other things in your inventory or he won't respond the way he should... --Scykei 04:25, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
- No, I had all the things plus 2800+ coins in my inventory and he still responded correctly. --Nup(T) 04:35, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, you just have to have the exact amount of the required items. I had 3 buckets by accident. --Scykei 04:52, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
Does anyone understand which items are needed for the second day (for those who dont know, go to the thread, look at the new note, and highlight the post, and it will tell you a riddle) I have the 227 coins, the 7 feathers, the 4 hammers, but im not sure which Cake ingrediant would be in a bucket (already tried water) HELP!!!
- You need 7 fishing baits, not feathers. Also you need 2 buckets of milk.

What is the item for the cake thing?
Can somone upload a picture of the clues in forums with the text highlighted on this wiki page? [ like the manuscript for first clue]Zazzyo 15:09, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
The text is following:
For this clue, you will need to have a great deal of insight, for there are many things in this world that are not always as they appear. Can you rise to the challenge?
When baking a cake, there’s a bucket of one ingredient you’ll need. Carry two of these.
It is a world full of mystery and magic, after all. You may need to cast your lines to the farthest reaches of Gielinor in order to obtain all you need.
You’d never catch Herring with empty line, so carry seven of this item to catch your contact.
Lumbridge, Draynor, Falador, Varrock, Edgeville, Al-Kharid; who knows where your adventures will take you? What treasures you will discover!
Ever heard of Roman numerals? You’ll need to carry CCXXVII gold coins!
I’m afraid I’ve told you all I can – you must now strike while the iron is hot! With wisdom comes the ability to read between the lines, so don’t let us down!
The final item is a tool used in creating your dwellings and protecting your body from attack. Hit the nail on the head with four of these.
Good luck!
Items needed: 2x bucket of milk 7x fishing bait 227 gp and 4 hammers

required items[]
Its all well and good not to spoil things or make them too easy, but for people like me, whos first language is not English, cryptics are very hard.
Like yesterdays, Id never heard of ice on a cake.
Maybe people can post the solutions on the talk page? That way one would have to make some extra effort to get the answer, and it makes it less likely for people who dont want to know, to accidentally read it.
Thanks for the highlight tip, btw, because Id have never found that out on my own, cause the clue didnt mean anything to me.

Removing "Construction" banner[]
While I think there is a time and a place for the construction banner, I think it is time to remove it on this page.
Mostly, I see this banner on a page as a way for an editor to say to others "stay out of my way.... I'm in the middle of a huge update of this content and wait until I'm done before you start to fix things here". If you are busying doing some major revisions and are saving content in stages, this is a good thing to put up. As an act to simply to exclaim that the article is incomplete and that others can and should help to contribute to the article: mark it as a stub.
If somebody is genuinely in the middle of posting a huge update of content here, go ahead, keep it until you are pretty much done for the day. Still, make sure you take the banner off if you are done and would be willing to let others come in and proof-read, add more content, and generally get others to help. This isn't to say others can't make minor edits, but as a matter of courtesy we can do better than simply saying something is under continuous "construction" all of the time. More to the point, don't abuse this important tool as I believe has been done on this page. --Robert Horning 23:45, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
- I was the person who added it. It was added on the first day, but I was busy so I couldn't remove it once the article was practically completed anyway. I used it when I added community event to this page but after discussion, it was moved it to its current page (where I also was busy so I couldn't remove it either). November 28th Clues[]
Why does the November 27th Cryptic Clue Fest say TBA and gives no answers but when you go to edit the page it has the answers there??? I mean I already figured them out, and I edited it for a typo, and there it pops up! You save the page, and it appears, but later it is gone again! It's weird...--Br3tt0wnz 00:08, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
Cryptic clue != thanksgiving event[]
Why is the cryptic clue thing on the thanksgiving event page. It's got nothing to do with thanksgiving other to do with 1. it was released alongside with the newspost with the thanksgiving event 2. it was released on thanksgiving. If you read the newspost it says Thanksgiving turkeys AND Community event. That means that there are TWO seperate things going on...
- Yeah, I think they should be in two separate pages... --Scykei 03:06, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
I agree A merge should not have been necessary. The content or page needs to be redirected somehow and fitted within it's proper section. --Fruit.Smoothie 07:44, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Give this a chance to settle out first. I don't know how long this is going to last, if this is going to be a new sort of Distractions and Diversions miniquest or if it will become a full part of the Thanksgiving event itself. Most likely, this was released due to the numerous complaints on the user forums about the Thanksgiving event being so lame, so something quick had to be created to fill in a gap and get something new introduced into the game as a stop-gap measure. From a programming standpoint, this is trivial and doesn't really require much new coding, yet it gets a whole bunch of attention by the player community. About 30 minutes of programming to put the whole thing together for all four days, and then put the clues themselves into the forums so no additional programming or new NPCs had to be created to get this to work. Give it a few days, and then decide if this needs to be split up or kept as one article. --Robert Horning 08:10, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Quote from the front page news box thing: "It runs over Thanksgiving weekend, but isn’t specifically themed as such". Jagex are calling it a coincidence that it runs around the time of Thanksgiving, so it probably shouldn't be included with Thanksgiving.

Agree - It's not the same thing as the event. It should be the "Cryptic clue" stuff (can't remember the full name). It's an epic event though

Comment - Since the move has already taken place, and there appears to be consensus of sorts to move this content, we might as well simply do it by RS:BB as a principle. I'll go ahead and do the cleanup to make this "official". --Robert Horning 16:47, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
Jolly Boar Inn - Something i need clarified from the chat with the bartender[]
After i gave him my items, he gave me the usual "cryptic talk to this guy" speech.
But in the end he said: Oh and raise your lowest skill, it's embarrassing.
Is this preprogrammed? Or will i need some sort of skill requirement for the next clue (kinda goes against logic for a fun event)
It's preprogrammed. Everyone gets it. And also, my loswest skill is a Range of 28.
Pre-programed. Jagex said that you will get this even if all of your skills are 99. :P --br3tt0wnz 21:40, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
28th November items[]
Third clue is 3 jugs of water. Zenihdrol
14:10, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
I think the first clue is 16 Red Spider's Egg. --User:Tyilo/Signature 14:49, November 28, 2009 (UTC) Heres my working
Collar = half of hem Sleeves = 4 x collar trim = 10 and is equal to hem Therefore hem is 10. That makes Collar 5, sleeves is 4 x 5 so sleeves is 20, and the sides is 5 times less than the sleeves, which is 4.
He had 55 thread. 55 - 20 - 10 - 10 - 5 - 4 = 6 red spiders eggs
The farmer one is a trick question. They get equal profits since they have equal amount of land. There was no time limit so it doesn't matter how long it takes them to complete the job. (200gp)
The last one is easy, just figure out what letter is in the first and which isn't in the second. You get either JUG WATER or JUG WBTMR (you decide :P) so just get 3 of that. 3 Jugs of water.
Worked for me, next one leads to Faruq. JaydenB

You can't have more than ther equired amount of items, INCLUDING GP.
the november 28 clues[]
ok, i understood the third puzzle:Jug of water 2. im guessing 200? 1. 5? tell me if i made a mistake
I mean 6*
November 28th Clue[]
Yeah, I confirmed the third clue.
Red Spiders' Eggs: 6 (10+5+20+10+4=49 | 55-49=6) Gold Coins: 200 (land split evenly, therefore produce is split in half) Jugs of Water: 3 (J-U-G W-A-T-E-R)
It was actually easy to solve at 4AM in the morning :p. Faruq is next guy.
