Battlemage armour[]
I can confirm that the special works on players using battlemage armour, despite it's melee aspect. This likely means that it also works against trickster.

Dragons[]
For Use against dragons how effective are these compared to dragonbane bolts, as the ranged strength is very high or are there exemptions as to what they can be used against?
NPCs[]
does the torso bleed effect work on npcs? ~neokyle
- As far as I know it doesn't work on npc's, and their are no exceptions on what it can be used on (within reason of course).
- Effects don't work on monsters and since these bolts don't drop after use I think it's recommended not to use them on monsters. Astral Bunny 21:18, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
Swift gloves dropping bolts[]
Possible swift glove glitch, It appears that if the swift glove special fires 2 bolts you have a chance of dropping one bolt

History Section[]
Can we add a History Section to this page about the special effect it used to have where you could aim for the Head, Torso, or Legs and how post-EoC the bolts are largely outclassed by other easier to obtain and more powerful ammunitions? <3

Now that EoC updates and Legacy are out, this is no longer optional and is no longer History. We need to add the right click effect of aiming for the Legs, Head and Torso to the page. SorionHex (talk) 19:07, July 16, 2014 (UTC)
