Brewing

They can't brew ordinary beer. But they can brew special kinds, like Wizard's Mind Bomb.

Quest item

It is a quest Item!

Drunk

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I just got completely drunk! Permanent or Temporary

When you drink the beer, it says it decreases your attack by %7, does this stay permanetly or does it wear off after awhile? Ckmj824 14:38, March 20, 2010 (UTC)Ckmj824

This is only a temporary boost.

Price

Why is it so expensive on the GE if you can just buy it for just 3 coins max? Why is this item so popular? Are they overused as quest items or something?

Exactly. It's the convenience cost of not having to travel to a far away tavern and click through multiple pages of dialogue to acquire a beer. Which gets especially cumbersome when you need multiple glasses of it. Also, when a player sets off for a quest, they usually purchase all required items from the Grand Exchange. With bank space being so valuable, they are unlikely to have spare beers laying around in their bank, so they must acquire it via trading. They aren't going to walk all the way to a tavern. 3ICE (talk) 13:11, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

Beer Stat Changes

Started looking into the numbers for the stat changes on beer and it doesn't add up. At 99, attack is drained 6 levels (7% force rounded down), but also at 99, strength was boosted by +2 (at 4% we would expect a 3-4 level boost depending on rounding). Ninety-five on both attack and strength resulted in the same 6 level drain in attack and +2 in strength Tried it on a lower level account with level 52 attack and 55 strength. Attack was drained by 4 (7% rounded up), while strength got a +2 boost

This leads me to believe the correct formula is ~7% of attack level is drained and a flat +2 to strength is gained. However, I would appreciate any replies here with more data to try to figure out the exact formula
