Brewing

can players brew beer?--Hypermark 02:39, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

They can't brew ordinary beer. But they can brew special kinds, like Wizard's Mind Bomb.

Quest item

It is a quest Item!

Yeah. In Vampire Slayer you have to buy Harlow a beer. FredeTalk 12:46, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
And i'm pretty sure Beers have other uses in a lot of members Quests. FredeTalk 12:47, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Drunk

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I just got completely drunk! I wish there was an effect for it like you walking rubbish or being unable to attack in a normal way or having your screen shake or at least a new message eg: "you are now completely drunk" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.144.76.248 (talk)15:27, August 7, 2009 (EDT).

Permanent or Temporary

When you drink the beer, it says it decreases your attack by %7, does this stay permanetly or does it wear off after awhile? Ckmj824 14:38, March 20, 2010 (UTC)Ckmj824

This is only a temporary boost.

Price

Why is it so expensive on the GE if you can just buy it for just 3 coins max? Why is this item so popular? Are they overused as quest items or something?

Exactly. It's the convenience cost of not having to travel to a far away tavern and click through multiple pages of dialogue to acquire a beer. Which gets especially cumbersome when you need multiple glasses of it. Also, when a player sets off for a quest, they usually purchase all required items from the Grand Exchange. With bank space being so valuable, they are unlikely to have spare beers laying around in their bank, so they must acquire it via trading. They aren't going to walk all the way to a tavern. 3ICE (talk) 13:11, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
