What is the chance to catch a big swordfish?

Ah can anyone verify the "Players have said it takes an average of 5000 swordfish before you get it." statement. It seems to be an opinion rather than fact.
i for one gota big swordfish on my 4th try so i dont know where he got the number 5000 from
I remember one day I got 3 big swordfish in just two trips. Probably just a VERY rare occurence since I have not caught another big one since. Krayfish 22:15, April 7, 2010 (UTC)

I personally have caught in the past few days between 1500 & 2000 swordfish and recieved a drop but don't know the exact number.
